Celebrating National Burger Day with Unity by Hard Rock.

This year I heard that was celebrating National Burger Day with a BOGO on their classic Smashburger - 2 Smashed Burgers, Shaved Yellow Onions, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato,
Legendary Sauce, Pickles on a Toasted Artisan
Bun. Regularly $20.99 but on May 28th, it was 2 burgers for the same price!!

But had an off menu bonus to sweeten the deal for all Unity by Hard Rock members. As a Unity member the burger was free!!

Unity by Hard Rock is Hard Rock’s global rewards and loyalty program used across , , Hard Rock Casinos and Online gaming. There are 4 levels: Star, Legend and Icon with an additional invite only level, X.

Neighbors Together 10th Annual Plates for Change Chef Showcase Gala at BRIC House.

Neighbors Together was founded in 1982 with the mission of ending hunger in 3 of the lowest income areas in NYC - Ocean Hill, Brownsville & Bed-Sty. Their mission has expanded to end hunger, homelessness and poverty in Brooklyn.

Through their community cafe and social services program they have helped provide emergency food to 12,000 men, women and children annually. Their community action program and empowerment program to assist with housing.

We celebrated together with Neighbors Together at the 10th Annual Plates For Change Chef Showcase to showcase culinary excellence from Brooklyn’s local restaurants, chefs and drink providers.

For the FIRST time , the legendary Cheesy Western Burger from Texas Tavern in Roanoke, VA is in New York City, at George Motz’s Hamburger America.

The Monthly Burger Special for May is here! The Cheesy Western has arrived! The burger available at includes 2 thin griddled patties, American cheese, dill pickles, thin sliced onion, the Tavern’s famous relish and a gently scrambled egg on a toasted bun.

The Texas Tavern was opened by Nick Bullington in 1938 and is currently owned and operated by the 4th generation of the Bullington family.

We had the pleasure of meeting Matt and Molly Bullington and their family in New York at the launch of the Monthly Burger for May 2026.

Future Legends Lunch with Karl Öskar & Marcús Ingi from Le K**k & Deig Bakery, Reykjavik, Iceland 🇮🇸 at Hamburger America by George Motz

On April 22nd, we met up with Karl and Marcús at as they made their Le K**k Cheeseburgr — Griddled 5-ounce Patty, American Cheese, Tomato, Red Onion, Sweet Pickles, Cabbage
and K**k Sauce on Markús Potato Roll.

They made their potato rolls at in Brooklyn as well as their Kleina Karamas Krullers from bakery.

The Kleina is a pastry in Iceland that is like an old fashioned donut, and in the dough they put cardamom and lemon zest. Here, they made a kruller with a cardamom and lemon zest glaze to mimic that flavor.

Queens Night Market, NYC’s most affordable night market officially returns on Saturday April 18th!!

We had the pleasure of attending the Press preview of and meeting some of the new vendors for the 2026 season.

QNM is held at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows, Corona Park in Queens. It starts at 4pm and tickets are required for the first 2 weekends ($5). If you’re heading there on 4/17 and 4/25 go to the account and grab tickets at the link in their bio. After 5/1 admission is free!!

The 4th Edition of George Motz’s book, Hamburger America is out — A State-by-State Guide to 220 of the Greatest Burger Joints Across the Country.

It’s been 18 years since the first edition of George Motz’s book, Hamburger America debuted and yesterday we celebrated the launch of the 4th edition!! This updated version covers 220 restaurants and is 159,000 words long!!

Can you tell which is the real book and which is the cake??

What’s new at citifield in 2026 in ballpark stadium cuisine! This is the round up of new food and vendors for the 2026 New York season.

To celebrate opening day and Citifield’s excellent culinary program over the last 4 years, we went to check out everything new this season at the stadium.

For the last 4 consecutive years, has been recognized for outstanding ballpark cuisine. Citifield has been nominated for the 2026 USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Award for Best Baseball Stadium Food. Previously they won Best Stadium Food by USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice in 2023 and Best Baseball Stadium Food in 2024 and 2025.

Barry Wallace from Dublin’s Dash Burger collaboration with Hamburger America on March 17th.

The Future Legends Lunch brought us to Ireland on March 17th to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day at by George Motz.

This lunch event celebrated founder of in Dublin, Ireland with the Dash Double Smash — two dry-aged lacy patties with American cheese, grilled and raw onion, pickles and Dash Sauce on a toasted Martin’s

At one part of their blend is aged beef, combined with chuck and brisket to give each burger a little aged beef kiss. For the Legends Lunch, the patties included cuts of dry aged brisket and dry aged ribeye from

The Hamburger Po-boy from Camellia Grill in New Orleans at Hamburger America by George Motz.

The classic version of the hamburger po-boy from camellia_grill is the monthly special at . Their po-boy is a 6oz. griddled patty with American cheese served “dressed up” with shredded iceberg, sliced tomato, dill pickles and mayo on authentic New Orleans French bread shipped directly from in NOLA.

We had the opportunity to talk virtually with Ronnie Jaeger from Camellia Grill and William Whann from Leidenheimer Bakery the other day. They told us about the history of Camellia Grill (opened in 1946), Leidenheimer Bakery (founded in 1896), and the po-boy. Check out part of our conversation and watch the making of this amazing burger in the reel.

The hamburger po-boy will be on the menu through March 11th at Hamburger America. After that you’ll need to head down to the Camellia Grill in New Orleans for one.

This is the first thick burger at and we celebrated with Alice and Colleen O’Leary, part owners of in North Salem, NY.
