BREAKING: Six Contestants Advance to Finals of the 8th NTD International Piano Competition

The final round will further test the contestants' technical command and interpretive artistry. Each contestant will be given 45 minutes of performance time and may select their own repertoire, provided the works differ from those performed in the preliminary and semifinal rounds.

After two days of competition, NTD’s 8th International Piano Competition announced 12 semifinalists on Thursday, who will advance to today’s semifinals.

The finals were held Saturday, August 15, in Manhattan, New York!

27 medals awarded:

🥉 19 Bronze Medals
🏆 No Gold Medals awarded
✨ 9 Excellence Awards

Additional honors were presented, including the Special Contribution Award, Heritage Contribution Award, and Honorary Award.

At this year’s competition, contestants showcased a wide variety of traditional boxing styles, including Lianhuaquan, Drunken Boxing, Bafaquan, Wushouquan, Xingyiquan, and Fanziquan, each with its own distinctive characteristics. ✨

The weapons divisions were equally wonderful, featuring traditional weapons such as sabers, swords, whips, and staffs. With dynamic and varied techniques, the competitors demonstrated the unique artistry and depth of traditional Chinese martial arts. ⚔️🏆
