A few weeks ago, Missy’s story began in the most heartbreaking way. She was found collapsed in the grass—abandoned, starving, and barely holding on. A police officer rushed her to the emergency hospital, where doctors discovered just how bad her condition was.
Missy’s body was weak and emaciated, and one of her legs was shattered beyond repair. The vets knew the only way forward was amputation, but first they had to make sure she was strong enough to survive surgery. After a few days of careful care, Missy underwent the procedure.
Today, we’re relieved to share that she’s out of the hospital and settling into a loving foster home. At just six months old, she’s learning to enjoy life again—playing with her favorite squishy toy and discovering what it means to be safe and loved.
Her recovery is still ongoing, but her spirit is stronger than ever. From abandoned to adored, Missy’s story is a reminder of resilience, compassion, and second chances. She’s now looking for a forever home where she’ll never be forgotten again.
