So they checked their cameras, and that’s when they saw it: a full-grown mountain lion sneaking into their backyard at night and using the sandbox as its personal litter box.

Wildlife officials confirmed the footage, joking it was the first time they’d seen a mountain lion “house-trained.” The family has since covered the sandbox, but their son still calls it “the lion’s bathroom.”

Researchers say bears are highly intelligent and capable of copying human mannerisms. They believe Marlon’s behavior may be less about food and more about belonging.

“Given that he’s the only bear for hundreds of miles, he might just be trying to fit in,” one wildlife expert explained.

He thought it was just the smoke… but it was actually a bear on his porch. Grandpa had a habit of smoking outside every night. While visiting one of his grandsons, he stepped out to enjoy his usual smoke.

That’s when he saw it. A bear slowly walked out from the tree line toward the porch. He stared at his joint, shook his head, and muttered, “I really gotta stop smoking.”

But instead of running, Grandpa just sighed, said “what the heck,” and gently petted the bear on the head before it wandered off. The next day, his grandkids gathered around him, laughing like crazy. Confused, he asked why. Then they showed him the Ring camera footage.

He fell back in his chair and said, “I’m never smoking again.”
