After years of grueling touring...Dasha is taking off for surgery to remove nodes from her vocal chords.

She's scheduled to have the procedure done October 22nd at Vanderbilt University Medical Center...and will then be placed on total vocal rest for 2 weeks.

She hopes to be recovered enough to attend the CMA's on November 18th.

Ever wonder what it's like to open for Cody Johnson? Walker Montgomery had that honor, and he was very impressed with how Cody and his team run things.

"When your whole crew, your whole band treats my guys like you're one of them, you're like you're supposed to be there, that comes from the top to me, so I think that's a real testament to how he runs his organization."

Apparently, everyone eats well too...with menus including steak and chicken at tour stops.
