Kamjong: Bailey Bridge Over Nambalok River Washed Away

The bailey bridge over Nambalok River at Chatric Village under Kamjong District of Manipur has been washed away by the strong water current on 5 August 2026.

The incessant rain over the past two days has caused the water level to rise in many rivers in the hill region of Kamjong District.

The bailey bridge over Nambalok River is the only lifeline of Chatric Village and 12 other villages of Indo-Myanmar border area under Sahamphung Block of Kamjong District.
