Our Story

Parkdale Auto has been proudly serving the Manistee area for years. Owner John Reed first began in the automotive repair business back in 2007 when he was the manager of Manistee Car Care. In those days the shop was comprised of two lifts and two mechanics. They then moved to a much larger location next to Napa Auto Parts. That shop now known as Family Tire. In 2011/2012 John and partner Dave Solberg formed Parkdale Auto & Transmission and purchased our current location, 855 E. Parkdale Ave. In 2014, John’s son Tyler joined the crew at Parkdale Auto & Transmission. With the help of Dave and his father, he created Parkdale Auto Sales. They bought the parcel of land next door and cleared it to prepare for a car lot. Today, Parkdale Auto Sales & Service is now owned by the father/son team. Their whole team is happy to continue to serve thousands of people a year. They offer many services! From selling and fixing vehicles to rental cars and Uhaul trucks, Parkdale Auto has what you need!
