Simply irresistible!
HAPPY CATS HAVEN happycatshaven.org
Hello, we’re Cloudia and Sunshine, two adorable little ladies who were found trying to survive outside. We’re much happier indoors, and we’re looking for a loving home together! Cloudia is the grey tabby who looks like a thundercloud.
She’s really a gentle little kitty who appreciates soft voices and gentle footsteps. I’m the calico, Sunshine, who prefers to light up the room from afar until I get to know you. Then like Cloudia, I’ll be ready to play!
We’ll do best in a home without dogs or kids, but we love other friendly cats and would be excited to meet them! We’re about a year and a half old and can be adopted together for $135, which includes our spays, vaccinations, microchips, food and litter starter kits, and a free well-kitty checkup to help you get started.

This appeared in the April 26, 1948, issue of the Gazette.
“People of Manitou are thinking of changing the name of Deer Path to Stork Path if the birth rate of this street keeps up. Seven babies were born in one block in 15 months, all girls. Parents and daughter are: Mr. and Mrs. Max Wells – Carol Ann; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin McComb – Judy Ann; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cameron – Dea Ellen; Mr. and Mrs. William Worth – Kathleen; Mr. and Mrs. Coulter Rose – Maylene; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Decker – Patty Ann; and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Farmer – unnamed.”
And yes, those were the days that married women’s first names were rarely published. Boo!
