WOMT Radio www.womtradio.com Our founder, Francis Kadow, first went on the air at 5:30 PM on November 8th, 1926.

The location was the 2nd story of the Mikadow Theatre Building across from Washington Park in Manitowoc. At that time, WOMT stood for “World’s Only Mikadow Theatre.”

Francis and Lillian Kadow owned and operated WOMT Radio until 1967, when it was then purchased by the Wisconsin Fuel & Light Company. The studios then relocated to North 10th Street in Manitowoc. Seehafer Broadcasting, with President

and General Manager, Don Seehafer, purchased WOMT Radio a few years later and has owned and operated the station since January 1st, 1970. Our studios and offices are now located at 3730 Mangin Street in Manitowoc and we have been operating in that location since 1980, when our new radio operations building was completed. News: We are affiliated with the CBS Radio Network and the Wisconsin Radio News Network with top of the hour newscasts and special features. With our local news department, we are also dedicated to bringing our listeners breaking news stories and events. Weather: We are committed to bringing the most up-to-date and in-depth weather coverage daily along with storm warnings and winter road reports when necessary. Listeners are also encouraged to call the WOMT Weatherline at (920) 684-0161 – a free 24-hour updated weather service. Sports: We are the official sports station in Manitowoc County with exclusive live play-by-play coverage of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Wisconsin Badgers, Marquette Golden Eagles, NFL Monday Night Football, and The Super Bowl. We also carry exclusive play-by-play broadcasts of all local area high schools. Programming: Our diverse programming allows us to reach our prime audience of adults 25+ with an equal male/female ratio. With a music mix of Adult Contemporary and oldies along with the area’s top morning personality team and daily/weekly programs, WOMT is the lakeshore’s most listened to radio station. Daily and weekly programs include “Be My Guest”, “Open Mike”, “The Air Exchange”, “Money Talks”, "Senior Matters", and more! With WOMT’s mobile radio station, we are able to broadcast live during local community events, breaking news coverage’s, sporting events, and remotes. We are members of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Radio Advertising Bureau.
