Severe thunderstorm warnings and Tornado Warnings have been already popping up this afternoon across South Dakota and tracking our way!
-Timeframe still looks to be around the sunset hour and thereafter!
-The atmospheric conditions are set for embedded tornadoes in the line of storms
-Large hail and Damaging winds will also be possible!
Stay aware this late evening for any severe warnings! Not expecting anything crazy but definitely have the energy to produce

BIG TIME storms expected tonight across Minnesota and Iowa!
-These storms will quickly develop into a linear mode that will bring the potential for Damaging Winds, Large Hail, and a tornado or two!
-SOUTHERN MINNESOTA needs to be aware tonight, as the atmospheric conditions could be right for a few tornado warnings to be issued and perhaps a brief touchdown
-If a tornado were to form during the Linear Storm mode, these will more than likely be rain wrapped and dark outside

-Today starts a very active stretch across the upper Midwest

Our first big chance of severe weather is on SUNDAY!
-A very strong low pressure system will enter our area Sunday morning, surging deep moisture from the south!
-As you can see in the bottom right corner are the dewpoints, depending where the low pressure it self and the warm front is placed, we could see tornadoes here along I-90 in Minnesota!
-The atmosphere will have the potential for severe weather but as you know that doesn’t always mean things pan out that way!
-Please, if ever is a time to pay attention to warnings, this summer will be prime time
ALL HAZARDS WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR SUNDAY!

Sunday will begin a very active stretch of severe weather for the upper Midwest
-Dewpoints will surge into the 60’s and even 70’s in some places, making it feel like July!
-Big time Severe weather outbreak is possible for Sunday and Monday
-A marginal risk of excessive rain is possible for Monday as some spots could see close to 2” of rain fall!
I will continue to monitor this busy stretch of severe weather season in Minnesota
