AWESOME NEWS: A massive blanket fort designed by Nevada high school students officially broke a Guinness World Record. It was confirmed to cover an area of 14,103 square feet. A local official said, "This [wasn't just the] record. It was about bringing the community together, creating memories for foster and kinship families, and raising awareness for the needs of children and caregivers."

AWESOME NEWS: There was an orchestral performance of "La La Land" in Australia last weekend, but during a break the keyboardist was too sick to continue. So the conductor asked the audience, "Is anyone an AMAZING sight-reader?" A 21-year-old student named Sterling Nasa raised his hand. He was brought down, given the music, and played out the rest of the show with the orchestra. He said after that the experience gave him the confidence to pursue music professionally.

“I logged on to my son's school to check his grades. I was shocked that he basically failed in 7th grade. I called his teacher and his counselor. We got into an argument after I told them it's their fault he failed. They disagreed and said it's my fault because I should have done a better job instilling discipline and good habits. They claim if I did my job he would never have failed, would have passed more tests and would have handed in more homework. I told them they did a poor job communicating with me throughout the year about his progress. I thought everything was fine because of their lack of communication. I'm now in the process of setting up a meeting to protest his grades. Who is really at fault? And don’t say it's 50/50.”
