Is this finally the year Bobby Pierce wins him a Dream?

Pierce has been painfully close at Eldora Speedway the last few years, 3rd in 2023, then runner up finishes in both 2024 and 2025. He’s checked off damn near every other major crown jewel in dirt late model racing, but that HUGE Dream win at Eldora has continued to elude him.

So it only feels right to ask is this the year the “Smooth Operator” finally seals the deal at The Big E?

A well deserved win for Brandon Weigle at Tyler County Speedway✊🏁

Weigle had to earn this one the hard way, outdueling Eddie Carrier Jr., one of the legends of this sport, to pick up the feature win last weekend at The Bullring. Any time you can go toe to toe with a name like Carrier and come out on top, that’s a win that was earned✊🫡

With the Dirt Track World Championship being at West Virginia Motor Speedway short track this season, and seeing over 80 cars time in for the FloRacing Night in America event last night at Eldora, is it safe to think that we could see a car count with over 100 entries for late models?

Tech seemed to be a hot topic yesterday at Eldora Speedway, with plenty of drivers reportedly having issues getting through, including Carson Hocevar.

Now it brings up a real question: has tech become too extensive in dirt late model racing?

Obviously rules are rules and you have to have them because nobody wants the sport turning into a free for all. But at what point does it become too much?

There has to be a balance between keeping everyone honest and not overcomplicating the sport to the point where it feels like the smallest thing can ruin an entire nigh

What do y’all think? Has tech inspections gone too far?
