🥾 184 miles. 14 days. One unforgettable journey of the heart.

What began as a love of travel became a life-shaping pilgrimage for a mother and daughter.

Nancy and Alexandria Schulz have always shared a passion for the outdoors — but this journey was different. Walking the Camino de Santiago across Portugal and Spain, step by step, they traded busy schedules for simplicity, reflection, and presence. From tired feet and breathtaking scenery to unexpected kindness and profound clarity, the Camino offered exactly what they didn’t know they were seeking.

This beautiful story is about faith, family, adventure, and discovering that sometimes the path forward is revealed one step at a time.

🍛 One bite — and you’re hooked.
This dish stopped him in his tracks and changed the way he thought about flavor forever.

Sometimes the most unforgettable meals come from the simplest ingredients. Inspired by a Liberian recipe first tasted in Minnesota, this rich, savory stew delivers bold flavor, tender meat, and just the right amount of heat — the kind of meal you’ll crave again and again.

It’s more than a recipe. It’s a story of culture, curiosity, and discovering how food connects us in powerful ways.

⛓️ Prison didn’t break him — it rebuilt him.
One man’s darkest chapters became the place where faith, freedom, and purpose finally took root.

Addiction, violence, and loss once defined Myles Lance’s life. In and out of prison, trapped in cycles he couldn’t escape, he believed change was possible — just not for him. Until one desperate prayer changed everything.
This powerful story follows Myles from pain and incarceration to redemption, ministry, and a calling to help others battling the same demons he once faced. What the enemy meant for destruction became a refinery for faith, healing, and hope.

👉 Click the link to read this raw, redemptive story of transformation — and see how purpose can rise from even the deepest brokenness.

💛In Loving Memory of Gary Price💛

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Gary Price, a beloved member of our community whose life and legacy touched so many. Gary’s remarkable story—his courage, resilience, and spirit—was first featured in The NEWTON Community Magazine back in 2019, and we were honored again to celebrate him through a piece of artwork created in his honor.

A Marine, a Vietnam War veteran, and a three-time Purple Heart recipient, Gary shared his experiences with honesty, bravery, and a generosity of spirit that stayed with everyone who had the privilege to know him. His smile, strength, and stories became a lasting memory for all of us.

He will be greatly missed, and our hearts go out with deep sympathy to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

May his memory continue to inspire and remind us of the sacrifices made by so many. 🇺🇸

With heartfelt condolences,

💙 His life was taken — but his purpose was not.
Out of unimaginable loss, one mother chose to turn heartbreak into hope for the next generation.

Kendarrius “KD” Spear was only 19 years old when his life was tragically cut short, but his impact didn’t end there. A beloved Alcovy High School basketball standout, college student, and natural leader, KD lived with kindness, drive, and a heart for others — and his mother made sure that spirit would live on.

Through the KD Strong Foundation, his legacy is now empowering youth through mentorship, scholarships, community outreach, and acts of service that reflect the way KD lived every day. This is a powerful story about grief transformed into purpose, and about a young man whose influence continues to change lives.

Went to Tacos on Main in Mansfield and it was fantastic! Not just good for being a local restaurant, but really good. I loved their specialty menu and I can’t wait to try their walking tacos. Definitely check it out if you’re in downtown Mansfield. So glad to have this option close by.
