The community is invited to Tarrant County Commissioner Alisa Simmons's Free Community Shred Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 26, at Tarrant County Sub-Courthouse, 1100 E. Broad St.

Participants can bring up to two boxes of paper. This is an opportunity to properly dispose of canceled checks, junk mail, and more.

Auto theft affects communities across North Texas, and it takes a united front to fight back. That’s where the Tri County Auto Theft Task Force comes in.

This multi-agency team is made up of dedicated investigators from several local law enforcement agencies—including Mansfield PD—working together to combat auto theft and related crimes throughout Tarrant, Johnson, and Ellis counties. Their work includes locating stolen vehicles, arresting suspects, recovering stolen property, and dismantling organized theft rings.

In addition to enforcement efforts, the task force is committed to public education and theft prevention. One of the most effective tools we offer is VIN etching, which permanently marks your vehicle identification number on your windows—making your car less attractive to thieves and easier to recover if stolen.

🚗 Our next FREE VIN Etching Event will be held at Walmart in Midlothian on Saturday, July 26th starting at 9:00 a.m.
