A scammer impersonated a vendor's CFO and tricked Mansfield's finance department into sending $748K+ to a fraudulent account. The state auditor says it was preventable. Here's what went wrong:

Mansfield Finance Director Kelly Converse was cited after the city employees paid $748,000 to a fake vendor over email. All funds were recovered.
