Hailing from the East Coast, she embarked on her academic journey at the prestigious University of Massachusetts. Here, she not only pursued her education but excelled with honors in Economics and Political Economy, a testament to her intellectual prowess
and dedication to her studies. Simultaneously, Judy also gained practical experience as a paralegal at the Massachusetts Legal Aid Society, focusing on housing and consumer law. Post-graduation, Judy delved into the corporate world, taking on the role of a business forecaster. She collaborated with Fortune 100 companies, crafting economic models and conducting financial analyses here. This role showcased her analytical skills and her ability to work with industry giants. Driven by her passion for understanding property values, Judy also obtained a certified Real Property Appraiser's license and a certificate in Principles of Taxation and Administration. With her solid foundation in economics and business forecasting, Judy took on a pivotal role in supervising the Assessment and Affordable Housing Divisions for the City of Boston. In this capacity, she oversaw residential, commercial, and personal property departments, gaining valuable insights into municipal operations and community development. Never one to limit herself, Judy's love for the outdoors led her to become a partner in Hyde Sails, eventually purchasing the company. Hyde Sails specializes in custom sails and equipment for sailboats, showcasing Judy's entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Upon relocating to Manteca, Judy wasted no time immersing herself in community service. She regularly attended City Council meetings, eventually earning a role as a Manteca Planning Commissioner. Today, she is the Planning Commission Chairperson, leveraging her expertise to guide strategic planning and development initiatives. Beyond her professional achievements, Judy is an active member of the Manteca Rotary Club.
