It is supported by the towns of Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Manteo, as well as Dare County Government, Dare County Schools, UNC Coastal Studies Institute and College of The Albemarle. The channels, Charter

Spectrum Channels 191 and 198, are operated by the Government Education Access Channels Committee, which is composed of a representative from each participating entity. CURRENT TV operates in the Dare County Administration building where it maintains a well equipped production studio where participating entities record programming for the two channels.

Lifeguards from across the Outer Banks gathered in Kitty Hawk for an adrenaline-filled day of competition, teamwork, and beach safety skills on full display! ๐Ÿ›Ÿ

These incredible athletes gave it their all โ€” and reminded us just how hard they train to keep our beaches safe every day.

The beach was packed with energy, cheers, and support from locals and visitors alike.
