So tired of the never-ending arguments. Christians will never argue anyone into the Kingdom of God, especially on social media these days. And I'm not leaving myself out of that category. Romans 10:9-10 "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved!"

This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible, and the key word is "will" be saved. But what does it mean to believe in your heart?
The HSBC Bible puts it this way: Merely mouthing "Jesus is Lord" and proclaiming He rose from the dead will not save you. Presumably, you or I can meet those requirements and still not be a true follower. "A heartfelt confession of Jesus' Lordship designates a lifelong commitment that issues from the center of a person's being (the heart). What matters is not saying He's Lord but making Him Lord at the core of your existence. This is what Paul really meant by calling on the name of the Lord to be saved.

One way to know if it's sunk in way down deep inside is whether what you believe influences the way you live. Does your faith influence your choices? That's a really good sign...

Jumped in the car for a quick road trip and came upon the old Berning Mill in St. Michael. It was established in 1881 when Anthony (or Anton - found both names in searches) Berning and his sons stopped farming and started up the mill. They built and maintained a dam on the Crow River and it ran till sometime in the 1970s, when the mill switched to electricity.

It just had to be a stately old building in its heyday. Couldn't get terribly close because it is closed off now, and I'm not too sure I didn't see a motion detector at one point, so didn't feel like running away, especially since the mill is located directly behind a bar and grill. Too much attention!

Lovely old place that looks like they just walked out one day, turned the electricity off, and never went back.
