Good bye Cassini! It took off from earth on 1997, got to Saturn's orbit in 2004 and today (September 15 at 11:55 UTC) it ended its mission when disintegrating in its atmosphere. It definetely revolucioned our knowledge of Saturn, its great rings and its fascinatings moons! After more than 13 years of great discoveries we are going to miss this amazing spacecraft!

Adiós Cassini! Despegó de la tierra en 1997, llegó a la órbita de Saturno en 2004 y hoy (15 de Septiembre a las 11:55 UTC) finalizó su misión al desintegrarse en su atmósfera. Definitivamente revolucionó nuestro conocimiento de Saturno, su grandiosos anillos y sus fascinantes lunas! Después de más de 13 años de grandes descubrimientos vamos a extrañar a esta grandiosa nave espacial!

Back in 1993, the first maintainance mission to the Hubble was performed. Astronauts travelled to space in the Endeavour Shuttle and installed a set of lenses to correct the imperfection of the Hubble's primary mirror. Image of the mission and comparison between before and after it.

Breathtaking Discovery!
New planets were found. The seven planets are rocky like earth and could have liquid water on their surface. Three of them are firmly on the habitable zone. They belong to the TRAPPIST-1 system, only 40 light years from our solar system. The star is 8% the size of our sun, just a bit bigger than Jupiter. The planets sizes are comparable to Earth. They are very close to each other and to the star itself, but, due to the small size of the star, the planets still may have conditions similar to the ones we can find on earth.

Ayer la Patrouille de France (el equipo de demostración acrobática del Ejército del Aire Francés) voló en formación con el último Boeing 747 de Air France (Boeing 747-428 F-GITJ) que ya había realizado su último vuelo comercial el 11 de Enero pasado.
