Good golly Miss Molly! Looking at the calendar tells us summer is quickly coming to an end. As much as we hate to see it leave, we love to see fall creeping in. Before we get there though there is one of our favorite times of year. The annual Marathon City Labor Day Parade. Join us for a sweet treat along with music and a dancing cow…or 4.

Such a great weekend for Draeger Dairy. Once again we had a very successful appreciation party for all of those who makes our farm successful. To the landowners, vendors, machinists and all of our friends thank you! We couldn’t do with without all of you!
And then on Saturday we had two tractors and three pullers representing us including a first time puller in Heidi in the powderpuff class. Great work to Aaron, Jim and Heidi for doing us all proud.
Here’s to a successful 2025, and let’s make next years celebration even better.

It’s that time of year. For perspective this or a variation of this is what we can see from the cab of the tractor. We are someone’s father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter or friend. Please be patient, be kind, and slow down. We don’t want to read another news headline of a car losing a battle with an implement.

Nothing like a day on the water. Day one of eliminating manure from the cows all winter. We both use a drag line and tankers to get the manure to the fields as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Let's work together to protect our cows and environment as a whole. They can't process garbage like plastic, pvc, balloons, or aluminum, which can shred their internal organs or get stuck in the digestive tract and cause catastrophic harm. So let's be mindful, avoid littering and pick up trash in ditches or fields, whether they're ours or someone else's. Please share this vital message to inspire others to join us in this important mission

As we gather together with family and friends we take a moment to pray for what we are thankful for.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the blessing in our lives. The trials we have overcome, the fruits of our labor and the love we share with those who we hold close. We are thankful for the food grown by the hands of the farmers, who carry out your amazing design. Grant us another safe holiday season so we may come together again to celebrate in your name. Amen.

What an honor to be the host farm for the 2024 Food for America program with the help of the Marathon Area chapter FFA students. Having the 4th graders from both grade schools come out and see the farm and participate in the many stations the high school kids presented was a great experience for all of us involved. Thank you to the students, teachers and volunteers who helped make the day possible.
