Hyper aware of the present moment being all we have lately. I think having kids does that to you. Or maybe it's being in my 30s now. Either way, I used to think the work in life was planning for the future and working hard towards my goals. But as the years have flown by faster and faster, I've realized the real work is finding joy in the present moment, exactly where I am right now. Fulfillment isn't waiting for me on the otherside of my accomplishments, it's waiting for me to choose it in every moment.

Grocery shopping… but make it sailboat life.
When you live on the water with three growing kids, grocery day is a full expedition. First a dinghy ride to find somewhere to land, then the two-cart sprint through the store, and finally hauling it all back across the water to the boat.
And let me tell you… kids who swim all day eat like tiny professional athletes. 😅
If the store has it, I’m stocking it.
Anyone else shocked by how much kids can eat?

Bedtime routine… but make it at sea with three kids during an overnight crossing.

Dinner at sunset.
Hot showers (a luxury when the engines are running).
A full speed bedtime mission before the waves start tossing us.

Chris takes the night watch, the kids get tucked in, and the ocean rocks us to sleep.

Tomorrow morning we wake up somewhere new. And that part never gets old.
