Time for an update! I'm back from vacation and the store has resumed normal hours, with one minor modification: We will now be open from 8 AM till 4 PM (ish) on Saturday and Sunday.

I brought back some specialty coffees from this last trip! This Wednesday, April 24, we will be serving real estate grown Jamaica Blue Mountain from Riddim Blue. 12 oz. cups only in order to make it available to as many people as possible. Despite the cost ($30 a pound!) it will be served at the regular $2.19 price. On Wednesday, May 1 we will be serving genuine Honduran Copan coffee. Same size restriction, same price.

Our 'regular' coffees (house dark roast, whatever medium roast is in the rotation) will also be available in all sizes.

Book sales continue to accelerate! I'm bringing in new titles weekly. I recently read:

Tomorrow, and Tomorow, and Tomorrow; Gabrielle Zevin. Amazing.
Nettle and Bone; T. Kingfisher. A new fairy tale!
The Wager; David Grann, Nonfiction, highly recommended.
Best. State. Ever.; Dave Barry. Hysterical!
The Midnight Library; Matt Haig. Interesting, well written, unclassifiable.

All except the Dave Barry are in stock. That one will be in Friday.

The new autobiography by Barbra Streisand, "My Name is Barbra" has been released and is getting very positive reviews. It is available only in hardback and at an appalling $47.00 cover price, so I will NOT be carrying it as a regular stock item.
If you're interested in it for yourself or as a gift I am offering it as a Special Order item at a 20% discount (Your price $37.60 plus tax). It must be prepaid at the store. Orders are sent every Sunday and received by Wednesday or Thursday.

I've just been notified by the newspaper distributor that due to extremely low sales and high costs, effective this coming Monday there will be NO daily deliveries of out of area (Miami Herald, Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, New York Times, New York Post, USA Today) newspapers.

We WILL receive Sunday editions of The Miami Herald, Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, New York Post, New York Times and Barrons each Sunday. These papers will remain on sale until sold out OR the following Tuesday morning.

The distributor anticipates returning to daily service on or around December 1.

This does not impact delivery of the Keys Citizen each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and the Free Press each Thursday.

I have six copies of Rebecca Yarros' "Fourth Wing" fantasy novel arriving either later today or Monday. Sales will be first come, first served OR you can come to the store and pre-pay to guarantee a copy (Cover Price: $29.99) until they're all sold.

The second book in the series, "Iron Flame" will release on November 7, 2023. I will be accepting pre-orders beginning September 1.

Now it can be told!

The new sign is up on the building announcing our new name and identity! Magazines are gone and the selection of new books is vastly expanded and will continue to grow. A wide selection of used books are available and we're slowly but surely bringing in pretty new bookshelves to replace the older magaracks.

As far as the cafe side we still offer all your favorite coffee drinks and smoothies as well as the muffins, danishes and bagels that you love so much.
