Fun Fact #1: Chukar are nicknamed ā€œdevil birdsā€ for a reasonā€”they almost always run uphill instead of flying, forcing hunters to climb before they flush.

Fun Fact #2: They arenā€™t native to the U.S.ā€”chukar were originally brought over from Eurasia and thrive in the rocky, dry terrain out West.
