HELPING HANDS NEEDED. Monday August 11 10am Lake Iowa Park. We will be working in beds around the Nature Center and would love to have some help clearing weeds, creating paths and sprucing things up.

Iowa County Master Gardeners are hosting a Garlic 101 Workshop on the basics of growing garlic on September 14 at 1pm at the Williamsburg Library. Learn about what works best for local conditions when selecting, planting, growing, and harvesting garlic. Taste some varieties and sample a dish or two.

Iowa County Master Gardeners will hold a make and take Hypertufa Workshop at Gateway Park and Arboretum in Marengo on September 13 at 9:00. You will create a faux limestone planter and learn about the hypertufa recipe and curing process to create your own projects. Wear old clothes and bring an apron and gloves (vinyl or latex dishwashing gloves). Cost is free, yet pre-registration with ISU extension office at 319-668-1052 is needed to prepare materials.
