Hey Folks,

We’re dropping a new album tomorrow - coinciding with Bandcamp Friday - that’s been in the works for several months now. , a collaboration between Marfa, TX artists Phil Boyd and Nick Terry, has recorded their second collection of sonic meditations on the deserts of West Texas, which CIA has the privilege of releasing. It’s coming out on 12” vinyl, exquisitely pressed by Houston’s own .

Tomorrow (12am - 11:59pm Friday, September 5th) we’re giving away a copy of Scott Ayers’ “Geltab” - also on vinyl - with every physical purchase of Air Field Vol. 2. Each incoming dollar helps ensure our ability to keep publishing boundary-pushing music such as these projects. We appreciate your support!

THIS FRIDAY 9/5/25 - we are honored to release AIR FIELD, Vol. 2, that will be available through CIA's Bandcamp page on vinyl. We'll be running a special for Bandcamp Friday...so watch this space. Also, if you happen to be in Marfa, TX, Air Field will be performing at Sonic Rodeo on Saturday, September 13!

Air Field's sounds are minimal, ambient odes to the vast land and sky-scapes of far West Texas. They are Phil Boyd, of Modey Lemon (modeylemon.bandcamp.com) and Hidden Twin (hiddentwin.bandcamp.com), and Nick Terry (kimazuichinmoku.bandcamp.com / c6fe2rn6.bandcamp.com). After meeting in Marfa in 2021, Phil and Nick collaborated to create Air Field. They released Air Field Vol. 1 in 2022 (airfield1.bandcamp.com/album/vol-1), and worked with Rob Mazurek to create the soundtrack for David Fenster’s Neuro Osmosis film (airfield1.bandcamp.com/album/neuro-osmosis-soundtrack) in 2023. Air Field Vol. 2 is their third album, and the first to be released by CIA.

Hey Friends - throwing a plug out there for CIA's website, which has grown into quite a beast over these last few years. There's a satisfyingly long list of bands and projects, each with its own page, releases, etc. The newest addition is a brand new video page with highlights from collaborators; it's not comprehensive, but if you there's stuff you like, head to CIA's YouTube page and consider subscribing. Because more is on the way :)
