Elijah Radio, Christian Talk Radio at its Best

A nonprofit Christian talk radio ministry broadcasting online, on the Elijah Radio app, and on many FM stations.

Elijah Radios first station WSJL 88.1 Bessemer was a culmination of 8 years of faith in a promise given to us about God's plan for radio in the Birmingham area. The promise was Psalms 92:4,"You have made me glad through Your work I will triumph in the works of Your hands." The Lord revealed His course early on through the verse in Habakkuk 2:2,3 - "Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." The story is filled with many lessons about how God works out His will, His miraculous working, and the struggles of having faith when everything seems impossible. We'd be happy to send you a copy of our story, just email us a request. We are excited as God continues to add station upon station. WRHP 100.1 Anniston, WCJL 89.1 Margaret, and more to come!

Astronomers tell us they’ve yet to find an end to the universe, with countless galaxies stretching beyond the farthest reaches we can see. But beyond even the most distant galaxy lies God’s great heavenly city. No one knows how many miles away it is—but the good news is, you don’t have to travel that distance to get there. Every person listening today can reach it in just three steps. What are those three steps?

Find out Monday morning at 10 CDT with Joe Crews.

One of the appeals of HGTV is watching something old and broken become beautiful again. Whether it’s a run-down house or a treasured piece of furniture, there’s something inspiring about seeing what can be restored. But did you know the Holy Spirit is the ultimate Restorer? Yet, many of us know surprisingly little about this vital member of the Godhead.

Dr. David DeRose explores what the Bible teaches about the transformative role of the Holy Spirit, Saturday at 8 a.m. and again at 5:30 p.m CDT.

Amy Carmichael's life was one of simple, determined obedience to God, regardless of the consequences. Her service in India is a vivid example of the impact one person can have when they fear God and nothing else. Called "the Mother of India", she is known for opening a safe house for rescuing children being trafficked in the Hindu temples.

Tune in Friday morning at 7 AM CDT for the beginning of the biography of Amy Carmichael.

What does it mean to be truly free? In 1882, the drowning deaths of nineteen chained convicts in North Carolina exposed the brutal exploitation of the convict leasing system—a practice that continued the oppression of slavery long after its legal abolition.

Join host John Bradshaw as he examines a dark chapter in American history, when freedom was a legal promise but not a lived reality, and draws a powerful spiritual parallel to the freedom we can find through Christ. That's Tuesday at 8 a.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. CDT on It Is Written.

When we suffer, one question often rises above all others: “Why?” Why this situation? Why now? Why me? David Asscherick explores the difficult problem of human suffering, contrasting the biblical worldview with the philosophy of nihilism and challenging the idea that the universe is indifferent to our pain.

Discover five good reasons why suffering exists—and where we can find hope in the midst of it, Saturday at 3 CDT with David Asscherick.

You’ve probably heard stories of near-death experiences—many describing visions of heaven, however others claim to have seen hell. Are these experiences of a fiery underworld where sinners suffer endless torment actually supported by the Bible?

Speaker Steve Wohlberg opens the Scriptures to uncover the truth about this hot topic. What does the Bible really teach about hell? Find out Monday evening at 7:30 CDT.

Christianity is more than simply accepting a creed or a set of doctrines. It’s a living transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit’s ministry, we are powerless to make the changes God desires in our lives. So how does this connect with Jesus’ promise that His followers would be witnesses to the entire world?

Pastor Mark Findley explores the final promise of revival through the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 on Hope Lives 365.
