Yesterday I attended the NSS-CDS International Cave Diving Conference. Afterwards, at the Divers Atlas social, some local landowners overheard us talking about caves and mentioned they had a cave on their property and invited us out to see it.

Today, Fino and I found ourselves exploring a place we’d never been before, meeting great people, and having an awesome adventure.

You never know where a conversation will lead.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the messages, calls, comments, and support over the last few days. It has meant a lot to both me and my family.

After surgery and a lot of testing, the doctors were able to identify the cause of the blood clots as Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). The procedure went well, and I’m grateful to say that I’m stable and being discharged home today.

This isn’t quite the end of the journey. I’ll need additional surgery in the future to fully address the underlying issue, but for now, things are moving in the right direction and I’m thankful for that.

Hi everyone, Sarah here posting on Brent’s behalf.

Today’s adventure looks a little different. Instead of cave footage, Brent is currently in the hospital after finding out some arm issues he’d been dealing with were actually multiple blood clots. He’s now preparing for surgery/procedures to get everything taken care of.

We’re very thankful he went in when he did, and he’s in good hands while everything gets sorted out.

Thank you all for the support, patience, and kind messages while he focuses on recovery.

That’s a big part of why I've spent the past year building Divers Atlas, so divers can actually see the places they’re planning to explore with a clearer picture of what they're getting into.
