We recently celebrated this milestone high above Phoenix on the 24th floor at the Compass Arizona Grill — a revolving restaurant with 360° views in the Hyatt that reminded us love is all about perspective (and sometimes a little spin). 🌆❤️

Each year I love to experiment with Thanksgiving turkey. This Butterball was started slow in my oven for the first two hours then finished and smoked on our charcoal grill for the remaining 2 and a half. It was rubbed and seasoned under the skin and also lathered on the outside with a compound butter containing fresh sage, thyme, rosemary, Himalayan salt, cracked black pepper along with the rinds and juice of a lemon and lime. The colorful skin is from the combination of smoking from the grill and touches of turmeric, smoked paprika, and annatto. It was melt in your mouth moist and is going to make incredible leftover recipes.
