Can I be completely clear because the ā€˜supporting a child killerā€™ argument is weak and quite frankly lazy.

Nothing excuses what happened to Cora, Dawson, and Callan. The taking of those innocent lives is an absolute tragedy, and holding the belief that what happened was horrific does not mean condoning or minimizing her actions for a single second. šŸ’”
But as this trial unfolds, another undeniable truth is sitting right in front of us: Lindsay Clancy was systematically failed.
You can grieve those precious children, demand accountability, and still acknowledge the staggering, collective breakdown of the medical and psychiatric care meant to protect her.
Acknowledging medical failure isn't about giving anyone a free pass, it's about holding EVERY part of the equation accountable so that a tragedy like this NEVER happens again.
Two things can co-exist. A catastrophic crime occurred, AND the medical system failed miserably.

People think the Lindsay Clancy trial is strictly a choice between Guilty or Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)... but under Massachusetts law, the jury form MUST actually have 3 options:

1. Guilty

2. Not Guilty

3. Not Guilty by Reason of Lack of Criminal Responsibility (NGRI)

Wait... a straight "Not Guilty" is still on the table?!

Yep! Under MA model jury instructions, the state still has to prove EVERY piece of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt, including intent, malice, and sanity. If a jury decides the state dropped the ball on proving intent or mental state, they technically have the legal power to walk out with a total acquittal.

Since nobody is disputing the physical acts in this trial, a straight "Not Guilty" is super unlikely, but LEGALLY? The jury holds all three options in their hands!

Grief is deeply personal, non-linear, and unpredictable. Assuming how someone ā€˜shouldā€™ grieve or rebuild their life after an unfathomable tragedy is a logical fallacy. People survive profound trauma in entirely different ways, some isolate, while others seek connection, family, or purpose to keep going.
Timeline speed is not evidence of a crime. Patrick chose to move forward. Suggesting a survivor is complicit simply because their personal life choices donā€™t fit public expectations is baseless speculation.
For someone who tragically lost their entire family, the desire to love, have children, or rebuild a family life isnā€™t inherently ā€˜odd or alarmingā€™, for many, it is a survival mechanism. Trying to find joy or meaning after total devastation does not negate the grief or pain of what happened. Give the man a break. šŸ’”
