It is time for another exciting month in Marietta! There will be many events and some of our favorite places to visit will be opening again. PRAYERS 🙏 & GOOD VIBES NEEDED

The Levee House Bistro [Ohio Street, Marietta] experienced a fire tonight and could use lots of prayers and good vibes sent their way. According to my conversation with Chef & Owner, Thomas Hickey Jr. a fire occured "in the breaker box" which will require him to close the restaurant for clean up, rewiring and inspections before reopening.

The good news: everyone's safe.

The flip side: the loss is substantial. Besides being closed to patrons for an unspecified time "all the food in the kitchen" was lost.

During my conversation it was obvious that Chef Hickey hated disappointing his patrons who had weekend reservations. According to his FB post he will keep everyone updated and appreciates our support and patience.

We are thrilled to announce that Marietta will be having 14 riverboat visits this summer!

Marietta will be having visits by the American Heritage (formally known as Queen of the Mississippi) and the American Countess.

As a reminder, visitors are not allowed to step on, tour, or ride any of the visiting boats but we invite you to view the boats from the Ohio River Levee.

Happiest of birthdays to our beloved Marietta! Life looks a little different compared to when the pioneers settled here on April 7th, 1788 but we are grateful for where the town is today. Celebrate Marietta by doing your favorite things in town today!
