,the shapewear and apparel brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede in 2019, has closed a $225 million funding round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives with participation from BDT & MSD Partners — pushing the company’s valuation to an estimated $5 billion, according to Goldman Sachs and Reuters.

The company projects it will exceed $1 billion in net sales in 2025, fueled by aggressive growth across apparel and activewear, plus a global rollout of dedicated SKIMS retail stores. The new investment will accelerate that expansion, strengthening the brand’s presence in both U.S. and international markets.

After more than two centuries in circulation, the United States Mint has officially produced its final batch of circulating pennies, marking the end of one of America’s oldest coins. The last one-cent coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint on November 12, 2025, officially ending production for circulation.

According to the U.S. Mint, each penny cost approximately 3.69 cents to manufacture, resulting in tens of millions in annual losses. Treasury officials estimate the government will save roughly $56 million per year by discontinuing new penny production. All existing pennies will remain legal tender, but no new pennies will be minted for circulation, which is expected to gradually push retailers toward cash-rounding practices in future transactions.
