We at Rouge Mocap are looking for like-minded individuals who have these core principles to join our motion capture department as a Motion Capture Technician.
The main and routine functions of the Motion Capture Technician are to:
-Assist team on capture projects (ie. system calibration, markering talent/props/sets, capturing, post-shoot duties, etc.);
-Adjusting witness cameras during production
-Prep/Scout layouts for upcoming capture projects
-Assist with set-build outs on stage
-Ensure high-quality data capture/data quality assurance during shoots;
-Track and retarget motion capture data;
-Maintain, install and repair studio equipment;
-Re-aiming cameras and testing new set-ups;
-Contribute to the continued improvement of the mocap production process;
-Ensure pipeline efficiency;
-Participate in improving data delivery pipeline;
-Stay current with motion capture practices;
-Pipeline management;
-File management.
-Maintaining a safe and clean production facility.

Alastair is a 20 year motion capture veteran with extensive experience in production and developing solutions for motion capture and virtual production. He will be working directly with Rouge to expand and streamline our motion capture and virtual production shoot capabilities. He will also be expanding his production tools and technologies (e.g. PeelSolve) and developing new industry solutions and industry standards. This partnership comes at a challenging time with many changes happening in the industry, but there is also enormous potential for virtual production and realtime collaboration. This strategic alignment will allow both Rouge and Alastair to combine forces to provide the best in class motion capture/virtual production services and solutions. Rouge is available for motion capture shoots, 3d scanning, and ADR sessions. Alastair is available as a developer, consultant and shoot supervisor.
