This is my student Miranda performing at The Linn County Fair. She's extremely talented and already an excellent guitarist, but she takes lessons from me anyway.
I love my students and they continually inspire and challenge my abilities. Sometimes students exist that their hearts just aren't into playing, and they're really hard, almost dreadful, to teach. They're forced into lessons, or they're just taking to say they can play, but really don't make any effort to. But my current roster of students are all great and I really appreciate being a part of their musical adventure. Seeing my students performing makes me feel like I'm a part of it.
