So many of our performers had formative theatrical experiences at this beautiful space and we love that Rogue still gets a chance to entertain here as well. We’re so grateful to still have it thriving in Marion.

Cheers to 98 years!

On August 30, 1928, the Marion Palace Theatre opened its doors for the very first time. Ninety-eight years later, the lights are still shining, the curtain is still opening, and new memories are still being made.

Through generations of movies, live performances, concerts, community productions, special events, and so much more, the Palace has been a place for Marion to gather, celebrate, laugh, and be entertained.

And none of those 98 years would be possible without this community. To every patron, performer, volunteer, member, sponsor, donor, and friend who has been part of the Palace story—thank you.

Here’s to 98 years of memories and to all that is still to come.

Big news from the Rogue universe.

After three years of being theatrical nomads, Rogue Theatrics is getting a home.

This fall, Kin & Kilt in downtown Marion will open a new venue inside their building, and it will become the new home for Rogue Theatrics, beginning with our Fright Night Cabaret.

It will also serve as home base for Shovel City Improv, giving both groups a dedicated space to create more live comedy, cabaret, improv, sketch shows, music, and whatever other ridiculous ideas we talk ourselves into.

For Rogue, this is a huge step. Having a space in the heart of Marion gives us room to build, experiment, rehearse, perform, and create a wider range of live entertainment right here in our community.

A massive thank you to Dave and Lynn Roush, owners of Kin & Kilt, for believing in local entertainment, supporting the performing arts, and continuing to invest in downtown Marion.

We can’t wait to make a lot of noise in this new space.

Break a leg to all the incredibly talented performers taking the stage in “A Chorus Line” this weekend at the Marion Palace Theatre.

We’re especially excited to cheer on some Rogue regulars. And yes, we use the word “regular” loosely because around here we’re all a bit irregular.

It’s always a good weekend when local performers are getting the chance to do big, exciting work on stage. We love seeing the arts scene in Marion keep showing up, showing off, and giving audiences a reason to get out and support live theatre.
