Juneteenth Celebration Marion Va

Juneteenth Celebration Marion Va Army

Dating back to 1865, Juneteenth commemorates the day when 250,000 slaves in the state of Texas, which became the last bastion for slavery during the final days of the Civil War, were declared free by the U.S.

Tonight we kick off the Juneteenth celebration in Marion Va. Come on out and let's give God all the praise!

The July 4 Celebration and Street Festival is here. If you are planning to join us on this day of celebration in the heart of community, please take the time to read over this list of reminders prior to attending. Its all hands-on deck for our staff and volunteers. We will be working the event and not answering phones or checking social channels on the regular. All your questions can be answered right below or here at the July 4 Celebration and Street Festival page. Communication is key with all that is going on throughout the day, in an effort to maintain a safe and family fun-filled day of celebration. If we need to communicate anything relating to the event on the fly, those updates will happen at the Downtown Wytheville page. So if you don’t follow us, please do so to be instantly notified of any event related updates. See you there!
