We have a nice surge of cold air coming into the region starting Thursday and lasting through about Saturday before it moderates.

Friday morning for example are going to see a lot of mid 40's south of Interstate 40, lower to mid 40's along and just north of I-40. The sheltered eastern slopes from Polk County to Caldwell County (circled in blue) could see near 40-degree lows and circled in red in the High Country, 30's with frost possible.

Be prepared for a little nip in the air!

Foothills Weather Network and Indian River Groves is teaming up for a fall fundraiser to help Burke Weather Inc, our non-profit organization to help raise funds for the community outreach programs (school, civic club visits, etc...) that our weather team is involved with across the Western Carolinas.

Tomorrow's rain chances have been on a downward trend as we have gotten closer. After that, we dry out for a while. Not the best news out there given we are in the opening stages of a drought. Blue Ridge Energy

After dealing with some clouds early this morning, skies are clearing out. That should allow temps to get well into the 70’s by mid-afternoon.

Tropical Storm has formed in the Atlantic basin and is forecasted to become a hurricane.

Good news is that curvature is expected during the forecast and that may present chances of impact for Bermuda down the road.
