What if one simple act of hospitality could begin changing your community?
We spend a lot of time talking about division in our culture, but maybe part of the answer is much closer to home than we think.
In a recent conversation on the iWork4Him podcast, we talked about the surprising power of something incredibly simple: a neighborhood picnic.
Not a polished event.
Not a perfect setup.
Just people gathering together.
Food has a way of breaking down barriers. Conversations create connection. Relationships build trust. And when neighbors actually know each other, communities become stronger. And it paves the way for God to use you to heal and love.
This summer, we’re challenging people to host a simple picnic for the neighbors around them. Burgers, lemonade, folding chairs, popsicles - whatever works! The point isn’t perfection. The point is connection.
Leadership doesn’t only happen in boardrooms or from stages. Sometimes it starts in a driveway, a front yard, or around a picnic table.
If you hosted a neighborhood gathering this summer, what do you think would happen?
We challenge you to listen to this episode and start planning your own picnic: www.iwork4him.com/podcast/2026/2148
