There's a reason why I specialize in helping small business owners with their social media. It's because I was once a small business owner myself. When I owned, Sweet On You Boutique, I truly understood what it meant to be so passionate about something that you're willing to do what it takes to make your dream a reality. 💫

Happy ! If you keep up with the social media world, then you probably already know about Meta's new social media app that launched yesterday — Threads. With that said, I would be remiss if I didn't talk about it here on my page! ✨

So, Threads! What is it? Threads is a new app from Instagram that focuses on conversations, much like Twitter. However, it is designed to be more authentic and less political and business-y. Here are a few of the Pros & Cons to the new social platform. Swipe to see 📲

💭 More intimate, positive, and personal than Twitter
💭 Integration with Instagram⁠ allows you to start off with an existing audience, rather than having to build it from scratch
💭 Focuses on easily digestible content, like short snippets of text and video

💥 It's still in its' early stages
💥 No search feature⁠ or hashtags making it harder to discover specific content
💥 No direct messaging ⁠feature
💥 It has a single algorithmic feed instead of separate feeds making it purely chronological

In 2019, I launched my first business and ran my online shop alongside of working my 9-5 corporate job. I absolutely loved it, and I poured my all into it! 🥰

There were nights that I stayed up super late and had to wake up early to catch public transportation for work the next day. Times when I used random public places like home decor stores to take inventory photos because I needed a pretty backdrop (gotta be resourceful, right lol?) And, times when I even hand delivered some local orders to customers 😅 I was truly fueled by my passion and my dream.

I pursued my boutique for about 2 years, but I ultimately left that venture to hone in on myself, my career, and my passions. And, now that leads me to today. ☀️

After some big life changes and discovering more about myself, I finally had this ‘a-ha’ moment and realized what it is that I am meant to do right now.

My passions for entrepreneurship and small business have aligned with my skills and talents in social media, and I have grown into this next version of myself, as a Social Media Marketer.📱

Today, I help small business owners share their unique brand story in a creative and authentic way on social. I do this (currently part-time) because I genuinely want to help others succeed in the social media space and use social to their advantage. I found this butterfly wall when I was in North Jersey a week or so ago. Naturally, I had to snap a pic with it because of my brand logo, but what I found next to it was a great quote that I find so inspiring (if you know me, you know I love this kind of stuff)! 🦋
