RULES FOR COMPACT CLASS:

Compact rules
This is not a set of rules, but a set of guidelines of how to build your car. If it doesn’t say you can specifically do something, then you can’t.
***If car does not pass inspection or driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspection,
ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS! ***
General Rules
1. All rules will be followed or you will not run.
2. All drivers must sign the driver’s paperwork or they will not run.
3. Drivers must wear a seat belt, helmet, and fire suit jacket.
4. All drivers and crew members must attend the drivers meeting.
5. No hot rodding in the pits, keep it at an idle. This will be the quickest way to be disqualified.
6. You are given 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that particular car will be disqualified.
7. There is a $250 protest fee, and you must be a driver in the main event to protest another car. Driver must have cash in hand directly after the heat/ feature in order to protest. If the car is found to be illegal, the car will be disqualified.
8. Any complaints that a drivers has about another car prior to the start of the first heat will need to be addressed in the drivers meeting. if nothing is said, we don’t want to hear about it after the show.
9. Any questions, give me a call, text or messenger. If these rules or a phone call to us does not say you can do it, then don’t. We can’t stress enough to call first.
10. Judge’s decisions are final.
DO NOT paint anywhere on suspension or frame, we will not inspect your car.
Vehicle preparation rules:
1. Remove all glass, mirrors, plastic, and make sure the vehicle is swept clean of all debris.
2. 110.5” wheelbase on OEM FWD and RWD. No shortening of trailing arms or any other suspension components to achieve this. 4 and 6 cylinder engines only.
3. No trucks, or SUVs, even if they fall under the wheel base.
4. Any questions on these, call first.
5. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
6. Batteries must be moved into the passenger compartment and properly secured and covered.
7. You must have a number in bright colors in each front door and must have a readable 15” x 15” sign on the roof with a number on it. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.
8. All cars must have working brakes. If the car is not able to exhibit the ability to stop, then it will not be inspected.
9. NO welding other than what is mentioned in this set of rules. If your car is found with any weld, other than what is allowed and you refuse to fix it to the judge’s satisfaction, you and your car will not run.
10. Bumper bracket/shock You will be allowed 2 options to mount your bumper. But you can only use 1 method, not both. Either method may be welded inside the frame, outside only.
-Bumpers are interchangeable. Any automotive bumper and bumper brackets may be used on any car, but no more than one set of bumper brackets may be used. You can weld bumper brackets or towers to the frame. You can weld bumper brackets and the shocks to the bumper. **No brackets are allowed to extend any further back than the first 16” of the frame.
-Instead of using bumper brackets, you are allowed to use 1-3” wide x ⅜’ thick strap extending from your bumper down one side of the frame and cannot extended further back than the first 16” of the frame. You are also allowed to wrap this strap around the front of the frame 3” to create an “L” shape, this is to give you enough material to weld your bumper to the strap. Plate may be formed to fit the frame but it cannot be doubled up at any point.
11. Bumpers
-You may reinforce the inside of the bumper. You’re allowed to fill the interior of the bumper with metal, but all added metal must remain inside the bumper. You may trim bumper ends or fold them around. Welding the bumper skins, chrome to inner liner is allowed. Weld them solid, we do not want them coming off. No welding bumper to the body in any fashion. Bumper height not to exceed 22” to the bottom of the bumper to the ground and be a minimum 14” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper or frame. Bumpers must be in stock location.
-Front and rear bumpers may have 4 loops of wire from radiator/trunk lid or deck to bumper (not frame). These cannot be placed in front of the radiator.
-Homemade bumpers will be allowed, and must follow these dimensions. 6x6 max tubing size. If running a point on it, it must be a minimum of 32” wide with a maximum of a 4” point. No sharp, protruding objects or any points bigger than what is specified will be allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS
-The bumper must be completely in front of the frame rails. No part of the bumper may extend back past the front most part of the frame rails.
-Rear bumper brackets must be OEM for the vehicle you are running.
12. Frame Shortening
You may shorten the front frame to the factory core support location on a unibody vehicle. You may cut the frame off flush with the front edge of the core support body mount hole. If it is a weld on mount, leave the remaining portion of the body mount in place. If you remove the body mount completely or relocate it, you will not run. No shortening the rear rails or center of the vehicle.
13. Frame welding
-You are only allowed to weld the factory frame seams from the front side of the firewall forward.
-On a unibody car you can weld the k frame seams and the unibody seam but do not weld the two together. No welding of inner fenders or anything else other than the one factory seam. You may not beat the lip over and weld it (example fox body mustang platform frames)
-Coil sprung cars will be allowed 20” hump plates. ¼” thick 3” wide contoured to the frame. They must be centered in the rear axle, no cheating to one side or another. Must have 2 half inch inspection holes drilled in them and a ¼” hole the unibody/frame. (If found not centered to the axle you will cut).
-Only 2 fix-it places can connect the k frame/unibody. Must see bends for fix-it plates.
14. Rust repair
-Call before fixing any rust on the frame. The rust can be cut out a piece cut exactly to the hole size maybe butt welded in (same thickness).
15. Frame Shaping
-No frame shaping is allowed. No tilting or altering of the frame in any way. Do not shape your humps.
16. Front Suspension
- Tie rods and ball joints- tie rod tubes may be reinforced. Do not re-engineer the way the steering components mount to the frame. Aftermarket stock replacement ball joints and tie rod ends are allowed. (No heims)
- A-arms - A-arms may be welded or bolted down but may not be reinforced. May use 1 ¾” bolt per a-arm if choosing to bolt. If welded, you may use 2-2x4x1/8” straps per a-arm. This strap must be welded to the a-arm and cannot be farther forward or backward than 1” past the widest part of the a-arm. A-arms must bolt on in factory manner.
- Struts - struts must be factory for the vehicle you are running. Must mount with factory mounting brackets and look stock appearing. May reinforce the inside of the strut. You are allowed 1-2x4x1/8” strap to weld on the strut.
- Spindles- Must be stock for a vehicle that is legal in this class. You may weld 1- 6”x ¾” rod to the back side of the spindle.
- Steering box - May be interchanged but must be from a vehicle that is legal for this class. Must bolt on in factory manner.
- Pitman arm - Pitman arm must remain stock. No reinforcing of boxes or racks.
- Idler arm - Idler arm must remain stock or interchanged for an idler arm that is off a car that is legal for this class. Must be bolted on and not welded.
- Hubs - Must remain stock for the spindle you are using, no aftermarket hubs or rotors.
- Sway bar - must be mounted in stock locations. No welding of the sway bar.
17. Rear Suspension
-No leaf spring conversions- PERIOD.
-Leaf springs must be made of stock spring material with a 1” stagger, front and back. No springs can be as long as the main leaf. You can have a total of 7 leaf springs per side, no thicker than 5/16” thick and 2 ¾” wide. The main leaf must be the top spring in the spring pack and the lead spring must go down from longest to shortest. You can re-clamp springs, 4 clamps per side. Homemade clamps cannot exceed 2x4x1/4”, while using up to ½” bolts. Must have a 2” arch in your springs. Must mount leafs to the factory mounting brackets. Brackets may be welded on, do not relocate them.
-You can change coil springs to a stiffer spring, or put spacer in sagging coil springs. You can wire, or chain coil springs to the rear end to prevent springs from falling out.
18. Rear-ends/axles
-You may use rear end of choice, but must be no more than 8 lugs. Welded or posi-tract highly recommended. Braces are welcome, may not extend more than 3” past the housing. May not reinforce your frame in any way.
-Rear end control arms can be reinforced. They must start from a stock set, but can be reinforced. They must attach in stock configuration for the vehicle you are running.
-You must use the factory control arm brackets that came with the vehicle you are running. No relocating of brackets on the frame.
-Slider drive shafts and CV shafts are permitted.
19. Tires
-Tires no bigger than 16”, no split rims, no studded tires. Foam filled or doubled tires are ok. Valve stem protectors are ok. Tires may be screwed to the rims. You may run full centers and bead locks on the inside of the wheel only.
20. Engine
-Engine cross member - you are allowed 2-4x6” plates ¼” thick on the frame to attach your engine mounts to. Mounts may only go to the engine saddle, not to the frame. On FWD cars, engines must be mounted in a stock manner/location.
-Motor – You may use a 4 or 6 cylinder engine of your choice, must be mounted in stock location, with factory motor mount. You will be allowed to have a header/ carb protector. It can only bolt in. It cannot be welded to the front 2 motor mounts. It must be 1 inch from the firewall and 1 inch from the core support. The protector is only allowed to protect the header/carb. It cannot in any way be used as a kicker to strengthen the car in any way. May use an upper cradle, NO LOWER CRADLE!
-Motor mounts can be replaced but must remain factory style. Reinforcing of the mounts is permitted but must still have a bolt as a pivot point.
21. Transmission and Skid Plate
-Transmission cross member - You must run the transmission cross member in the stock location for the vehicle you are running. On RWD vehicles, you can weld a single piece of 2” angle iron no thicker than ¼”, no longer than 8” to the side of the frame. You must remove the stock mount if you run the angle iron. If you replace the cross member, it can be no larger than 2x2x1/4” tubing. The transmission cross member must be one piece and straight from side to side. The transmission cross member is the only method where the transmission may be tied in. Transmission may be bolted to the cross member with 2-⅝” bolts with 1.5” washers or you may wrap a chain around the transmission to the cross member.
22. Body shaping
-Body shaping is allowed to the exterior of the vehicle only. All panels must remain in factory position.
23. Rust repair
-You can patch rust holes in sheet metal with sheet metal only. Do not cut rust out; weld 1” beyond rust.
24. #9 Wire rules
-You are allowed 2 strands up to 4 loops per window opening. May go around frame and through the roof sheet metal only. Do not use your cage in any way to support this.
-You may run wire from frame rail to frame rail underneath back of vehicle, behind rear end with 4 loops of wire or 1 loop of ⅜” chain. This may go around the frame, or it may go through a factory frame hole, or you can weld 1-⅜” chain link to the inside rail of the frame to run the wire through. This wire pass through the trunk floor if you choose.
25. Radiators
-For mounting radiators, you may use up to 4-½” all thread. This may pass through the bottom of the core support. You may use 2”x6” ⅛” thick flat steel, welded to the core support to run your all thread through. No radiator or fan protectors allowed.
26. Body Mounts
-Body mounts can be replaced with up to 1” bolts. Must have a 1” spacer in all mounts besides at the core support. K-frame cars are allowed to bolt the frame solid with no spacer (no welding). May have 1- 2x3x1/4” washer inside the frame and 1 4x4x1/4” washer on top. Bolts must be up inside the frame. If you choose to use a body mount hole for your trunk all thread, this does not have to be up inside the frame.
-Radiator support mount spacers may be removed and you can suck the radiator support down solid. If running a core support spacer, must be 2x2x1/4” tubing welded to either the frame or body, not both. Absolutely no body mounts may be moved or added. Do not shorten the front of your car and move
back past the body mount hole, as your vehicle will not run, The all thread at the core support may be welded to the side of the frame.
27.Hoods
-Hoods must have at least a 12” square hole in case of a fire. You are allowed 16-⅜” bolts with a washer of 1.25” to bolt hood seems. You are allowed 6 spots to hold your hood on. Your core support thread may go through the hood and will count as 2 of the tie down spots. You may have up to 1” all thread, no longer than 8”. All other tie down spots must be sheet metal to sheet metal only with a washer no bigger than 5x5x1/4”.
-You may cut wheel wells for tire clearance. Fenders may be bolted back together with 6-⅜’’ bolts or less with a 1.25” diameter washer. No rolling your fenders and welding them. If you wrap or fold your fenders around the front of the core support, do not exceed 4-⅜” bolts with 1.25” washers to bolt together.
28. Windshield bars and Firewall
- Firewall - do not alter the firewall in any way.
- Window bars - For safety, all cars must have 2 bars extending from the roof of the car to the firewall. The straps cannot be any larger than ⅜”x3” flat strap. Do not connect these bars in any manner, no more than 6” of strap material allowed on the roof and no more than 6” strap material allowed on the firewall. Must be a minimum of 3” from any cage or strut towers.
29. Rear window bar
-You may run 1 2x2x1/4 box tube rear window bar. It must be straight and can be mounted with a 6x6x1/8 plate. It must stay within 6 inches of the window opening and it can not touch the tank protector or your halo.
30. Doors
-You may weld your doors shut with nothing larger than a 3x1/8” flat strap (do not overlap). Exterior door seam only may be welded. You may fold the tops of the doors over and weld the inner to outer with no added metal. If you choose to bolt or wire or doors shut, must be done in a minimum of 6 locations. If we do not think the vehicle is safe you will not run.
-You are allowed to skin the driver’s door for safety reasons. You may us up to 3/16” flat steel, it may not extend further than 3” past the door seams. No more Grader blades.
31. Cage
-All Cars must have a cage no exceptions. All cage material must be no larger than 8” OD, unless specified for a specific rule. It must also be a minimum of 4” off the floor everywhere except where the down tubes go straight down. No cage material may be within 6” of the firewall and any part of the engine and protector. Must be a minimum of 4” off the transmission tunnel which can not be altered.
- You may weld a bar behind the seat from door post to door post, it can be an X. Do not connect directly to the frame, and you may also have (with no extensions), across your dash area to replace your dash. You may run up to a 60” bar connecting the dash bar and the seat bar inside the front doors only. You may weld two down bars per side from the cage to the frame vertically. Do not angle these or conceal a body mount with them. These down bars must remain behind the inside door seam and may only be welded to the top side of the frame or floor. These bars cannot exceed 2”x3”. You must have a roll loop behind the seat, which must be welded to the floor or frame and may be welded or bolted to the roof. You may also weld a steering column to the steering cage. Back of the cage, including the roll bar has to be placed a minimum of 5” in front of the center of the rear seat body mount. On cars where this isn’t present, it must be 10” from driver’s seat.
32. Gas tank protector –
I recommend running a gas tank protector. It cannot attach to anything other than to your cage/seat bar Cannot exceed 24” wide and must be centered in the vehicle. It can angle in from your rollover protection, it must be 4” off floor and roof sheet metal and 1” from rear sheet metal.
33. Fuel tank, oil coolers, transmission coolers, batteries, pedals, and shifters
- You can run a factory fuel cell. It must be moved inside to the rear seat area and tied down. Fuel line must be secured and fastened properly. If running fuel is injected make sure you use a fuel injection hose or you will not be allowed to run. Keep away from exhaust. Place the fuel cell behind the driver's seat or in the center of the vehicle.
-Engine oil coolers and transmission coolers are allowed. These coolers cannot be placed to reinforce the car. All bolts mounting these may only go through sheet metal, unless mounting on a cage.
-Floor mounted pedals are permitted. They must be 2” away from the frame, body mounts, and any cage components or protectors. This can not be used to strengthen the vehicle.
-Batteries may be mounted to the cage or in the floorboard, if mounted in the floorboard, the battery box may not strengthen the vehicle in any way. Must be a minimum 2” from cage, frame, body mounts, and protectors.
-Cable shifters are permitted but may not be mounted in any way to strengthen the vehicle.
34. Trunks
-You are allowed to weld your trunk solid with a 3x1/8” flat strap on the exterior seam. No attachment point may come intact with the frame.
-You can fold hoods or trunk lids over. Do not slide your hood or trunk lids forward or back, trunk must remain on hinges. Trunk lids may be shaped but must remain 10” off the floor. Rear quarter panels must remain vertical. Rear tail light valance must remain vertical.1 - 6”x 6” hole must be cut in the trunk lid for inspection.
- 2-1” all thread may go from the trunk lid to the frame. You may pass through a factory body mount hole or weld 3” to the side of the frame. May use up to a 5x5 washer on top of the trunk lid.
-Wagons must remove all rear decking and seat components. All other rules must be followed. If you choose not to run a rear bumper on a wagon, you may drop the tailgate straight down. May only be welded to the body. No sedagons.
35. Fix it plates
You will be allowed 8 plates 4 per side of the car anywhere you want to place them. The plate must start out as a 6x6x1/8 inch plate. When welding the plates on you are allowed a ½ inch weld around the edges of the plate. There must be a 1 inch gap between the weld of the plate to the next weld of the next plate. Once you weld the plates on, they can not be cut off and moved. You will not be allowed to use a piece of allthread from the unibody to the subframe as a repair plate

General Driver Rules & Expectations
1. ALL RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED OR YOU WILL NOT RUN
2. Drivers must wear seat belt, helmet, fire suit jacket and long pants while participating.
3. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting.
4. You must run a roof sign. You cannot use the roof sign to strengthen the car.
5. Drivers are not allowed to drink alcohol before they participate. If found with alcohol in system you will not run, no exceptions.
THIS IS NOT A SET OF RULES BUT A SET OF GUIDELINES OF HOW TO BUILD YOUR CAR. IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN SPECIFICALLY DO SOMETHING THEN YOU CANT.
JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL! ALL CARS ARE SUBJECTED TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME!
NO PAINTING OR UNDERCOATING OF THE FRAME. NO BUFFING OR GRIDING FRAMES OR BODIES
EXCEPT WHERE WELDING IS SPECIFICIALLY ALLOWED IN THESE RULES. NO PAINTING IN THE INSIDE OF THE BODY, SUSPENSION OR CAR. IF THIS IS DONE THE CAR WILL NOT BE INSPECTED.
1. 108” max factory wheelbase on all vehicles in this class. Leave vin tag to verify make/model/year. 4- and 6cylinder engines only. NO SUVs or Trucks. All cars must be fresh. No rear engine cars.
2. All cars must be stock unless modification is specifically stated in these rules.
3. All glass, plastic, chrome, and interior must be removed from car before arriving to the derby.
4. All trailer hitches and braces must be removed.
5. Batteries must be moved to the passenger front floorboard and must be properly secured and covered.
Factory Fuel tank, oil coolers, transmission coolers must be removed.
6. All cars must have working brakes when you cross the hoist. If the car is not able to exhibit the ability to stop it will not be inspected.
7. No welding other than what is mentioned in this set of rules. If your car is found with any weld, other than what is allowed, and you refuse to fix it to the judge’s satisfaction, you and your car will not run.
Show Rules
1. You have 1 minute to make an aggressive hit. After 1 minute that car is disqualified. That is 1-minute total. An aggressive hit is solely at the discretion of the officials.
2. For safety, DO NOT HIT THE DRIVERS DOOR! You may not get out of your car for any reason during the heat until you are out.
3. You are given 2 fires - 1st one we put out and the 2nd one you are done for that round.
4. Rollovers - you may keep going as long as car is deemed safe.
5. Watch the officials. If they are trying to get your attention, there is a reason.
6. No holding or pinning, you must back up and show day light.
7. Car qualifies, not the driver. During the event if a driver is unable to compete and has a
replacement, please see driver’s table for the driver to get signed up and fill out proper
paperwork.

10. If the car is found to have plate on the frame or body that the rules do not allow the car will not be permitted to run. There will be no option to fix this problem.
11. If you hammer/shape/weld on the frame in any manner not covered in the rules you will not be able to run. There is no fixing this.
Cage & Inside of Car
1. All cage material must be no larger than 6” od, unless specified for a specific rule smaller. It must also be a minimum of 4” off the floor everywhere except the down legs going straight down. No cage material may be within 6” of the firewall and any part of the engine or components and be a minimum of 4” off the highest point of the floor which cannot be altered. You may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost, it can be an X do not connect directly to frame, and you may also have a single bar (with no extensions), across your dash area to replace your dash. You may run a bar connecting the dash bar and seat bar inside of the front doors only. You may weld two down bars from the cage to the frame vertically or to the floor to protect batteries and your feet. The front down bar must remain at the inside door seem and may only be welded to the top side of the frame. These bars cannot not exceed 2”x3”. You must have a roll loop behind the seat, which must be welded to the floor or frame and may be welded or bolted to the roof. You may also weld a steering column to the cage. Side bars may be 6”x12” including roll over may be a max overall length of 62 inches long. The roll over bar must stay within the 62 inches.
2. RWD cars may run down bars straight down and over to the body mount washer. These must remain separate.
3. You must run a gas tank protector that must be 90 degrees straight up and down. It cannot attach to anything other than to your cage. Cannot exceed 24” wide and must be centered in the vehicle. It can angle in from your halo bar, it must be 4” off floor sheet metal and 1” from rear sheet metal. Must stay on interior of car and can not be any higher than the top of the speaker deck.
4. A well-made metal fuel cell (no plastic tanks) is required and it must be mounted to your gas tank protector only.
5. Fuel line must be ran inside the car and secured properly.
6. Engine oil coolers and transmission coolers are allowed. These coolers cannot be placed to reinforce the car. Cooler mounting may be to sheet metal or cage mount only (not both).
7. Floor mounted pedals are permitted. They must be 2” from any body mount or cage components.
8. Batteries may be mounted to the cage or to the floorboard (not both). The battery box may not strengthen the vehicle in any way. Must be a minimum 2” from, frame, body mounts, and a minimum of 6” from any protectors.
9. Cable shifters are permitted but may not be mounted in any way to strengthen the vehicle.
Radiators
1. When mounting the radiator, you must not reinforce the core support in any way.
You must pass inspection within 3 times through or you will not be permitted to run.
A helmet, seat belt, fire jacket, and eye protection must be worn at all times on the track.
2. Radiator must be mounted in core support in factory location only. You may have an 1/8” max radiator guard that cannot extend past the front body mount bolts. May be attached with six 3/8” bolts or four 1” welds.
Bumpers and Bumper Mounting
Option #1: Any seam welded OEM bumper may be ran as long as it has an unmodified skin front and back. It may be loaded, but all added material must remain inside the bumper.
Option #2: Homemade bumpers may be used as long as it falls under all of the following dimensions. The bumper may be built up to have a 14” point from the farthest point from the back side of the bumper to the point, however the point itself may be no more than a factory Chrysler pointy itself and spanning over a 36” span across the bumper. They may be 8” tall unless loading an unaltered factory skin.
1. You may trim bumper ends or fold them around.
2. No welding bumper to the body or cross member in any fashion.
3. Bumper height not to exceed 22” to the bottom of the bumper to the ground and be a minimum 14” from the ground to the bottom of the bumper or frame. This includes pre ran cars at the beginning of the derby.
4. Bumpers must be mounted in stock location.
5. Front and rear bumpers may have 4 loops of wire from core support/trunk lid to bumper (not frame).
These cannot be placed in-front of the radiator.
6. No more than one set of OEM car bumper shocks/brackets may be used per bumper. Rear bumper brackets must be OEM for the vehicle you are running.
7. You can weld bumper brackets/towers to the bumper and to the frame.
8. No brackets are allowed any further back than the first 16” of the frame.
9. Instead of using bumper brackets, you are allowed to use one 4” wide x 3⁄8” thick strap extending from your bumper down one side of the frame and cannot extended further back than the first 16” of the frame. You are also allowed to wrap this strap around the front of the frame 3” to create an “L” shape, this is to give you enough material to weld your bumper to the strap. Plate may be formed to fit the frame but it may not be doubled up at any point. 4” width includes forming.
10. Rear Bumper Brackets must follow the front bracket rule, no longer than 14” on the frame.
Frame
1. No frame swaps. Frame must be factory for your car.
2. Unibody vehicles may cut the frame off flush with the front edge of the core support / body mount hole. If it is a weld on mount, leave the remaining portion of the body mount in place. If you remove the body mount completely or relocate it, you will not run.
3. No shortening the rear rails or center of the vehicle.
4. You are only allowed to weld the factory frame seams from the front side of the firewall forward with a single 1⁄2” bead. On a unibody car you can weld the cross member (K-member/sub frame) seams and the main unibody seam but do not weld the two together. No welding of inner fenders, strut towers or anything else. You may not beat the lip over and weld it (example fox body mustang)
5. Coil sprung cars will be allowed 20” hump plates. 1⁄4” thick 3” wide contoured to the frame. They must be centered in the rear axle no cheating to one side or another. Must have 2 half inch inspection holes drilled in them.
6. Rust repair - Call before fixing any rust on the frame. The rust can be cut out a piece cut exactly to the hole size maybe butt welded in (same thickness). No restubbing cars at all
7. No frame shaping is allowed.
8. No tilting or altering of the frame in any way.
9. Do not shape your humps.
10. You may run 4 loops of #9 wire or 1 loop of 3⁄8” chain from frame rail to frame rail underneath the back of the vehicle, behind rear end. This may go around the frame, or it may go through a factory hole in frame, or you can weld one 3⁄8” chain link to the inside rail of the frame to run the wire through. This wire may pass through the trunk floor if you choose.
Suspension and Steering
1. Do not re-engineer the way the steering components mount to the frame.
2. Aftermarket stock replacement ball joints and tie rod ends are allowed. Tie rod tubes may be reinforced.
3. A-arms - o Must be factory for the vehicle you are running o May be seam welded.
o Must be bolted on in a factory manner.
o May be welded or bolted down but may not be reinforced.
o If bolted, you may use one 3⁄4” bolt per a-arm if choosing to bolt. o If welded, you may use two 2”x4”x1/4” straps per a-arm. This strap must be welded to the a-arm and cannot be farther forward or backward than 1” past the widest part of the a-arm.
4. Struts must be factory for the vehicle you are running. Must mount with factory mounting brackets and be stock appearing. You may reinforce the inside of the strut and are allowed one 2”x4”x1/8” strap to weld on each strut used for height, weld to strut only.
5. Steering box, pitman arm, and idler arm are interchangeable with vehicles that are legal for this class. Must bolt on in factory manner.
6. Spindles and hubs must be stock for a vehicle that is legal in this class. You may weld one 6”x3⁄4” rod to the back side of the spindle.
7. Sway bar must be mounted in stock location and stock manner. No welding of sway bar or mounts 8. No leaf spring conversions.
9. Leaf springs must be made of stock spring material with a 1” stagger, front and back. No springs can be as long as the main leaf. You can have a total of 7 leaf springs per side, no thicker than 5/16” thick and 2 3⁄4” wide. The main leaf must be the top spring in the spring pack and lead spring must go down from longest to shortest. You can re-clamp springs, 4 clamps per side. Homemade clamps cannot exceed 2”x4”x1/4”, while using up to 1⁄2” bolts. Must have a 2” arch in your springs. Must mount leaf’s to the factory mounting brackets. Brackets may be welded on, do not relocate them.
10. Coil springs can be changed to a stiffer spring or put spacer in sagging coil springs. You can wire, or chain springs to rear end to prevent springs from falling out.
11. Rear shocks may be replaced with 1” max all-thread.
12. You can loop chain or wire (1 loop of 3⁄8” chain or 4 loops #9 wire) from rear end to frame in one spot on each side. Must go around frame, do not bolt chain to the frame. We are going to allow you to weld 1 link of chain per side of frame, if you choose to weld the chain instead of wrapping it around the frame.
13. You may use rear end of choice but must be no more than 8 lugs. Welded or posi-trac highly recommended. Braces are welcome, may not extend more than 3” past the housing. Brace must not reinforce your frame. Rear end control arms can be reinforced but must start from a stock set. The factory bracket must attach in stock location for the vehicle you are running.
14. Slider drive shafts and CV shafts are permitted.
Tires/Wheels
1. Tires no bigger than 16 inches, No split rims, No studded tires. Doubled tires and
2. Solid Tires are ok – we don’t want any flats! Valve stem protectors are ok. Tires may be screwed to rims. No foam filled drive tires for the arena shows for safety reasons. Wheel reinforcement is allowed as long as the wheel starts with a stock wheel, and the reinforcement stays within the factory bead. Bead locks are permitted in this class. Bead locks may be no more than 20” in diameter and can be on inside of tire only.
Motor, Transmission and Engine Cross Member
1. You may use a 4 or 6 cylinder engine of your choice, but it must be mounted in stock location in a stock manner.
2. Motor mounts can be replaced but must remain factory style. Reinforcing of the mounts is permitted but must still have a bolt as a pivot point. Mounts may be welded solid with one 4”x6”x1⁄4” thick plate per side. Mounts (other than upper FWD) must go to engine cross member, not to the frame. Top side FWD mounts may be welded on one side but must pivot on the other (do not weld the mounts together).
3. Full engine cradles are allowed but must be 6” from any cage components and 6” from the core support.
4. All engine cradle components must be 3” away from the frame rails and body on RWD vehicles, a minimum of 1” away from the frame rails and body on FWD cars and may not strengthen the frame in any way. Pulley protectors are allowed but may not extend your water pump. Only 12 inches may contact the firewall.
5. Transmission brace, aftermarket bell housing, aftermarket tail shafts, and skid plates are allowed.
6. Transmission braces must be contoured to the transmission. On FWD cars, must be a minimum 1” from frame. Transmissions and braces must be a minimum of 4” from any cage components.
7. The factory transmission cross member must be in the stock location for the vehicle you are running. You may replace the transmission cross member on RWD cars with one straight piece of 2”x2”x1/4” max tube. Tube can be welded with a single piece of angle iron (8” long 2”x2”, 1⁄4” thick max) to each side of the frame. You must remove the stock mount if you run the angle iron.
8. The transmission cross member is the only way the transmission may be tied to the frame. Transmission may be bolted (may not be welded in any way) to the cross member with two 5⁄8” bolts with 1.5” washers or you may wrap a chain around the transmission to the cross member.
Trunk, Tailgates, Hood, Doors, and Body
1. Body shaping is allowed to the exterior of the vehicle only. All panels must remain in factory position. Rear quarter panels and taillight valance must remain vertical.
2. You can patch rust holes in sheet metal with sheet metal only. Do not cut rust out; weld 2” beyond rust max.
3. You are allowed 2 strands up to 4 loops of #9 wire per window opening. May go around frame and through the roof sheet metal only. Do not use your cage in any way to support this.
4. You may use up to four 1⁄2” all thread to mount your radiator. This may pass through the bottom of the core support. You may use 2”x6” 1⁄8” thick flat steel welded to the core support to run your all thread through.
5. No radiator or fan protectors allowed.
6. Body bolts can be replaced with up to 1” bolts.
7. K-frame cars are allowed to bolt the K-member to the frame solid with no spacer (no welding). May have one 2”x3”x1/4” washer inside the frame and one 4”x4”x1/4” washer on top. Bolts must be up inside the frame. If you choose to use a body mount hole for your trunk all thread, this does not have to be up inside the frame. K-frames must be the factory one for that car.
8. If running a core support spacer, must be 2”x2”x1/4” tubing welded to either the frame or body not both.
9. Absolutely no body mounts may be moved or added.
10. Do not shorten the front of your car.
11. Core support may not be relocated and must be bolted in factory location only.
12. Hoods must have at least a 12” square hole in case of a fire. You are allowed sixteen 3⁄8” bolts with a washer of 1.25” to bolt hood seems.
13. You are allowed 6 spots to hold your hood on. Your core support all thread may go through the hood and will count as 2 of the tie down spots. You may have up to 1” all thread, no longer than 8”. All other tie down spots must be sheet metal to sheet metal only with a washer no bigger than 5”x5”x1/4” flush/level with the hood to support the hood pins. 5” max floating washers to keep the hood shut.
14. Fenders may be bolted back together with no more than six 3⁄8’’ bolts with a 1.25” diameter washer. No rolling your fenders and welding them. If you wrap or fold your fenders around the front of the core support, do not exceed four 3⁄8” bolts with 1.25” washers to bolt together.
15. You must have at least one window bar and no more than 2 in the windshield.. It can be no thicker than 3/8" and no wider than 3". You may use 2” x 2”
Plates and bars must stay within 5” of the windshield opening and must be a minimum of 3” from any protectors, threaded rod/plate and any part of the cage. pipe but it can not be solid.
o FrontWindowBar
Option #1: The front window bar can go from the top of the windshield to the bottom
of the windshield area sheet metal to sheet metal. It may be welded 6” to the top and
bottom of the window area.
Option # 2: The front window bar can attach to the roll over bar down to the front
cage bar. The window bar can not go past the front cage bar.
o RearWindowBar
Option #1: The rear window bar may be welded 6” on top of the window area and be
welded to the floor directly above the rear axle with a maximum of 4” x 4” plate on
the floor.
Option #2: The rear window bar may be welded 6” to the top of the window area and be welded to the speaker deck/front of the trunk lid with a maximum of 4” x 4” plate.
The rear window bar must have a 1” gap from any cage components.
16.You may weld your doors and trunk shut with no larger than 3”x1/8” flat strap (do not overlap). Only exterior seams may be welded. If you choose to bolt or wire or doors shut, must be done in a minimum of 6 locations.
17. You may fold the tops of the doors over and weld the inner to outer (no added metal).
18. You are allowed to skin the driver’s door with 3/16” thick sheet metal for safety reasons. It may not extend further than 3” past the door seams.
19. You can fold hoods or trunk lids over. Do not slide your hood or trunk lids forward or back, trunk must remain on hinges. Trunk lids may be shaped but must remain 8” off the floor.
20. Two 1” all thread may go from the trunk lid to the frame. You may pass through a factory body mount hole or weld 3” to the side of the frame.
21. May use up to a 5”x5”x1/4” floating washer on top of the trunk lid.
22. Do not remove the speaker deck.
23. Wagons must remove all rear decking and seat components. If you choose not to run a rear bumper on a wagon, you may drop the tailgate straight down welded to the body only.

2025 Mini Van/Mid-Size Trucks/Mid Size SUV
General Rules & Expectations:

2. For safety, DO NOT HIT THE DRIVERS DOOR!!
3. You are given 2 fires- 1st one we put out and the 2nd one you are done for that round.
4. Rollovers- you may keep going as long as car is deemed safe.
5. Watch the officials. If they are trying to get your attention, there is a reason.
6. No holding or pinning, you must back up and show day light. You may not pin to win!

Show Rules:
THIS IS A SET OF GUIDELINES OF HOW TO BUILD YOUR CAR.
IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN SPECIFICALLY DO SOMETHING THEN YOU CAN’T!!!
1. Any Midsize Van, Truck or SUV 4 cylinder or V6 engine and must be the original engine for that car. Carb conversion (no protector) and simplified Harnesses will be allowed. Headers will also be allowed, no protector. Call with any questions about a certain make or model. 4 Wheel drive vehicles must have driveshafts removed to make 2 wheel drive.
2. Remove ALL glass, mirrors, plastic, outside body chrome & turn signals. Vehicles must be swept clean of all debris. Also, must remove ALL carpet, dash, headliner, rear seats, and any other flammable materials. We DO NOT want Glass or debris on the track.
3. Hoods must be 100% in stock location and open for inspection. Must have a minimum 12” opening on hood in case of a fire.
4. Hoods may be fastened in 6 places total. 2 places with the core support all thread and 4 places with 2 strands of #9 wire OR up to 4 pieces of 2x2x1/4” angle iron with a single 3/8” bolt. Trunks/tailgates may be fastened in 4 places with 2 strands of 9 wire OR 4 pieces of 2x2x1/4” angle iron with a single 3/8” bolt. Trunk may have a single 90 degree bend. No Body Creasing, no sedagons. Fresh cars will also be allowed to notch and dimple to pre-bend rear frame rails. Drivers door may be welded solid on all seams. Drivers door may also have a door skin up to 1/8” thick. This skin may also be welded solid and may only extend 3” past door seams. If passenger is riding they may also have a door skin (if not must be removed and same as stated) all other doors 12” total of weld 2”x1/8.on vertical seams only Do not weld hood or trunk!
5. Body mounts and spacers to remain stock and in place. If they are broken or rusted out, a single piece
#9 wire may be substituted. No body bolt changing allowed. DO NOT EVEN TOUCH THEM!!! Exception:
You may replace two front body mounts with two 3/4" threaded rod with eight 3inch washers and 4 nuts, Bottom nut and washer must be inside frame and may extend through hood. ZERO welding allowed to mount this rod.
6. #9 wire or chain required in front windshield.
7. Battery must be relocated to the interior of the vehicle and properly secured and covered. If you have a passenger please make sure its in a safe place, secured & covered.
8. Must disable airbags.
9. Gas tanks MUST be moved behind the seat in the center. All fuel lines running inside the car must be covered. Original gas tanks are not allowed, must be an aftermarket metal or aluminum fuel cell. Gas tanks must be mounted 8-inches off the floor and all sheet metal.
10. 4-point square cage only 60” max in length with one 2x3 down tube to sheet metal only per side.
Max 60-inch side bars 6-inch max. Cage must be 6” off firewall. Side bars must be 6” off the floor. ((Well Built Halo bar is MANDATORY minimum 2x2-1/4 and must be attached to the backseat bar and floor sheet metal. Well Built HALO BARS!!!
Car Preparation:
NO PAINTING OR UNDERCOATING OF THE FRAME. NO BUFFING OR GRIDING FRAMES OR BODIES
EXCEPT WHERE WELDING IS SPECIFICIALLY ALLOWED IN THESE RULES. NO PAINTING IN THE INSIDE OF
THE BODY OR CAR. IF THIS IS DONE THE CAR WILL NOT BE INSPECTED.
• Gas Tank Protector: (Highly Recommended)
Dimensions: 24 inches wide & 24” long off rear cage cross bar, 8 inches from the roof, rear and floor sheet metal. Protector may be tied into halo bar with metal in a straight line only. This protector may not strengthen the car in any way. Pre-runs will be up to the discretion of the official on clearances of tank protector.
11. May use factory pedals, brakes and steering column. OR an aftermarket steering column and
aftermarket pedals. Aftermarket pedals must bolt through floor sheet metal only and be at least 2” off Firewall. This may not strengthen the car in anyway.
12. You may weld any stock factory car bumper (may be loaded on the inside only) and you may weld the stock bumper bracket for the car to the frame 4 inches from the back of the bumper, single pass only. In addition, you may weld (4) one-inch welds on the back side of the bumper. All bumper material longer than 4” back must be removed.
• Shocks may be collapsed and welded. All shocks and brackets in stock location only and extended one inch in front of frame. Again, all bumper brackets and shocks must be in stock location.
• Or you may shorten to one inch in front of the core support spacer and hard nose with a 4x4x1/4” welded to Uni-body only.
• Or you may chain, one piece of chain per side BOLTED from the mount to mount to hold on the bumper.
Instead of a loaded factory bumper you may use a piece of 4”x4”x1/4” flat tubing in its place with original bumper shocks for the car you are running or hardnosed. May have a 4” point over a 32” span.
13. Any tires are fine, including solid rear forklift tires. You may weld in full centers but no other bracing or supports allowed on the wheels.
14. You are allowed an aftermarket shifter; it may not be mounted in any way that strengthens the car.
15. Struts must be factory for the car you are running. May run up to a 2” tall bolt in strut spacer on top of strut between strut and tower.
16. Rear Wheel drive- Rear end must be factory to vehicle. May be Welded Posi-track. Must have Factory leaf/Coil spring to vehicle. May have 1- 3/8” chain per side looped around frame/Rear end for ride height. Chain may not strengthen in any way.
17. Drive Shaft- No Slider Drive shafts allowed. Everything else must be factory for the year, make and model of the car you are running. ONLY welding allowed is doors, bumpers & cage.
This build should only take 3 days, if you spend more than that you are overbuilt for this class.

Stock Class Rules
***If car does not pass inspection or driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspection, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS! ***
1. All rules will be followed, or you will not run!
2. Any American make sedan or station wagon can run. No 1970 or older Lincolns, No 1973 or older imperial sub-frames, 4x4, ambulances, hearses, trucks, limousines, etc.
3. Driver must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s licenses. Ages 14-17 must have a notarized permission slip and some form of identification. The person that signs in as the driver/passenger for the event must be the driver/passenger.
4. Driver must wear seat belt, long pants, and helmet. Fire suit recommended.
5. All drivers and crew members must attend the driver’s meeting. Any controversies will be taken up at the driver’s meeting.
6. DO NOT HIT the DRIVER’S DOOR!!!!! Sometimes this happens, but if it looks intentional or careless, you will be disqualified. Don’t use your door as a shield as it may cause you to get disqualified.
7. Any open driver’s door or fire will cause disqualification.
8. NO sandbagging or holding!!! You will be disqualified. You are given 20 seconds for aggressive hits, 1-minute for restarts and 1 minute if you are hung up.
9. No hot rodding in the pits, keep it at an idle. This will be the quickest way to be disqualified.
10. Cars are subject to re-inspection before any prize money is handed out. There is a $150 protest fee, and you must be a driver in order to protest. Only drivers in the feature may protest another car, driver must have cash in hand directly after feature event in order to protest and must provide specific item being protested.
11. Any questions give us a call! If it does not say you can do it, don’t do it, call first. Judges’ decisions are final!!!!
Car Preparation
1. All glass, plastic, chrome, interior, decking in station wagons, and all trailer hitches and brackets must be removed.
2. No tires larger than 16”, no split rims, no studded tires. Doubled tires, flaps, foam
filled tires and wheel centers are ok.
3. You must use a radiator in stock location.
4. Original gas tanks must be removed. You must use a boat tank or well-made fuel cell and it must be securely fastened in center of back seat area.
5. All cars must have working brakes. Pinion brakes are allowed.
6. Tr**ny coolers are allowed if you choose to run one, must have well-made lines with secure fittings, FUEL LINE IS NOT OK!!!!
7. Batteries must be moved to passenger floorboard area and securely fastened to sheet metal only and cannot reinforce the frame.
8. You MUST have a roof sign!!! Minimum size 16”x16”
Frame
1. You are allowed a loaded OEM bumper or a manufactured bumper within Chrysler pointy specs. Bumpers must be at least 14” to the bottom and not over 28” to the top.
2. You are allowed to shorten frame to the front most part of front body mount. Cadillacs must measure at least 18” from bumper to spring bucket.
3. You are allowed a 6”x6”x1/4 plate for a bumper bracket or may use the factory shock/bracket for the car you are running but it can only go 6” back from the bumper.
4. Frame rust may be covered with same thickness metal. You may go 1” past the rust. DO NOT REMOVE RUST!
5. Cold bending in the side rail is allowed and is the only way to manipulate the frames factory geometry. NO STRETCHING OR CUT TILTING!
6. Restubbed cars have to be done with the same make, model, and year car you are running. You’re allowed a 1” strap to cover the seam
7. You are allowed 6-6”x6”x1/8” plates total they cannot touch and no welds larger than ½”. Must be a 1/2” gap between welds. You are allowed 2 fresh plates and 4 on bends only. Must have 1/2 hole in plates so we can see the bend. Once you weld the plates on, they cannot be cut off and moved.
Team show will be 2 on a fresh 4 total!!!
8. No painting the frame we will not even look at the car If it’s painted!!!
Suspension
1. Any rearend is allowed with a simple 4”brace. The brace cannot extend 4” off the housing. May weld mounts on the housing to bolt into the car that you are running. Trailing arms must be an oem set with no bracing. No coil spring to leaf spring conversions or leaf spring to coil spring conversions. If you are running a car with leaf springs they must be a factory leaf pack from that car. Slider driveshafts are allowed. Watts conversions are allowed.
2. Tie rods, ball joints, and A-arms must remain stock and bolted in only. You may weld 2-2”x4”x1/4” strap from upper A-arm to frame vertically to hold A-arm down or use 1-4”x1/2” bolt with a ½” washer. You are allowed to change steering knuckle.
Cage
1. You are allowed to run a four-point cage. Nothing bigger than 6” material, must be 6” away from firewall, 5” in front of rear seat body mount. Cage can be welded or bolted in place. You are allowed 2-2x4x1/4 down tubes welded on each side behind inside door seam, top of frame only, and cannot go through frame. Must have a halo (rollover) bar. 1-2x4x1/4 down tubes welded on each side 5” in front of the rear seat body mount.
2. You are allowed a gas tank protector no wider than 24”, 6” tall located in center of the back-seat area, it CAN touch rear sheet metal, 4” off of floor, cannot connect to anything other than back bar of cage. You may weld a loop straight up off protector to protect the fuel tank. Loop can be no taller than fuel tank.
Drive Train
1. You may run any engine/transmission in any qualifying car. Must have a aluminum bell and tail housing!!!Transmission cross member can be changed to 2”x2” square tubing but must be in factory location. Can use 2 2x2 6 inch piece of angle iron to mount the cross member. If transmission looks to reinforce car in any way you will split the tunnel and remove and attachment from tr**ny to crossmember.
2. Lower cradles are allowed up to ½” and cannot attach to frame or strengthen car in anyway. No solid motor mounts, all lower cradles must use Factory motor mounts! Front plate may be used to attach accessories only alternator, power steering, etc.
Body
1. Body bolts can be changed up to ½” bolts with a max 3” plate on top of body and a max 3” plate inside the frame. You must have a 1” spacer 3x3 max vertically between body and frame if bolts are changed. Removing metal from factory rubbers is NOT allowed.
2. You must have at least 1-12” hole in hood. You may use 10-⅜ bolts to bolt hood back together.
3. You may tuck your trunk lid 90 degrees but 60% must be in stock position or you may dish the trunk only 6”. Must measure 6” or less to the deepest part of the trunk lid and must have a 6”x6” inspection hole.
4. You may put 6-6” long ½” diameter bolts in trunk lid or may be welded with 12” per seam. Hoods may be bolted with 6 pieces of 1/2” althread or may use 6-3” pieces of angle bolted together. 2 pieces of up to 1” all thread may pass through front core support and must go through front body mount and 2 pieces of 1” all thread through trunk lid through a factory body mount hole. Core support spacer maximum 3”x3”x1/4” tube 8” tall.
5. Front fender and rear quarter panels may be trimmed for tire clearance. No welding together, may use 12 -⅜” bolts total per car with up to 1” washers to bolt together.
6. Body creasing is allowed.
7. All cars must have at least 1 strap of wire, chain or up to ⅜”x4” flat metal from roof to firewall, 6” on roof, 6” on firewall.
8. You may patch body rust with same thickness metal 1” past rust only.
9. Doors maybe welded with maximum 3”x1/8 flat metal or chained & bolted.
10. You are allowed to run a bar on outside of driver’s door for protection no bigger than 6” material, can run 6” in front of front door seam, and 6” behind front door rear seam.
NO WELDING OTHER THAN WHAT IS SPECIFIED IN THESE RULES
03 and Newer Rules
1. Must use factory aluminum cradle, racks and suspension.
2. Strut replacements and strut spacers are ok.
3. Tie rods are allowed to be changed to an OEM set.
4. Cradle overlay is only allowed to attach using the 4 points on the bottom of the aluminum cradle. No attachment to frame must have at least ½” gap.

GUT-N-GO FWD RULES
All cars must start as a Factory non modified car, nothing can be added other than what’s stated in these rules. You can use any 1980 newer front wheel drive car, mini van or cross over SUV are allowed at the shows that have no all wheel drives, or full frame vehicles. you can run tires with sidewall flaps (protectors), skid tires, tractor and fork lift tires are ok. Anything can be removed from car (hood ,trunk lid, washer tank anything that may be in the way) wiring harness can also be relocated to keep from getting pinched. you can also duck tape or chain door pillars. Remove air bags!!! Here is what has to be done!!!! 1. remove all glass, mirrors, exterior trim, head and tail lights, front and rear plastic bumper covers. Interior doesn’t have to be removed. 2. battery has to be relocated to passenger floor board and secured down. 3. You must have a bar across drivers door it may go past door seams 8 inches in front of door but no more than 12 inches past rear of front door. you can use any kinda steel for door bar EXCEPT grader blades!!! C channel works good. you can fasten door bar to door w alltread,bolts,chain or cable. You MUST run a bar behind front seat from door pillar to door pillar. you must angle off ends of door bar so that they are not sharp. 4. You can weld drivers door shut 5 on 5 off 3" by 1/8 thick strap.( this is optional you don’t have to weld door) 5. you can remove factory front bumper and weld, chain , or bolt on a piece of 4x4 tube with 4 inch point 32 inch span . It CANNOT stick out more than 5 inches past outside of frame, no material can be added to inside or out side of frame, you must weld it to where Factory bumper was mounted no shortening frame end. if you want you can leave the factory bumper. 6. If fuel tank is behind rear axle it must be moved and secured to back seat area, if tank is in front of rear axle it can stay in factory position. 7. You must run chain, cable or #9 wire from roof to cowl panel. 8. hoods must have a 12 inch hole cut incase of fire and can be chained , wired or 1/2 ALL THREAD only through core support 3 nuts and 3 washers per all thread or wire shut it can wrap around upper radiator support and threw hood. do not wire hoods shut until after inspection. 9 shifter swaps are ok !!

Hot Stock Rules
* If a car does not pass inspections or driver is unwilling to change car to pass inspections, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS!!!
1. ALL RULES WILL BE FOLLOWED OR YOU WILL NOT RUN!!!
*No 1970 or older Lincolns. No 1973 or older Imperial subframes. No hearses or limousines.
03 and newer must have stock suspension
Car Preparation must have stock rack and pinion stock tie rods or oem replacements no tying cradle in any way
*All glass, plastic, chrome and interior must be removed. This includers trailer hitches and brackets.
*Roof signs are required!
*All decking in station wagon must be removed.
*Original gas tanks must be removed. You must use a boat tank or well-made fuel cell and it must be securely fastened and covered. Place fuel tank in the back seat area bolted to the floor or fuel tank protector.
*Batteries must be moved to the passenger floorboard and securely fastened and covered! Battery box must not be bigger than 15"x15"
Car Building
*You can bolt or chain your doors. Or weld all door seams with 3 1/8th in strapping.
*You're allowed to skin the outside front drivers door UP TO the door seam.
*You must have a 12" hole in the hood.
*You're allowed two pieces of 1" all thread through the front core support and through the front body mount. You may use a solid spacer between the frame and radiator support, up to 3"x3" square tubing it cannot be welded to core support only to frame no welding the core support to the bumper.
* you can run a piece of 1/8 inch metal for a radiator. Guard Hass to be bolted on with 4 3/8 bolts.
*You're allowed 4-1"x8" all thread through the hood. You can use 5"x5" washers or 4 5inch 2x2 angle iron with half inch bolts to hold hood down . You are allowed up to 12 1/2 bolts in hood to hold inner gussets up.
*On the rear you're allowed two 1" all thread through the trunk lid and through a factory body mount.
* body mounts may be replaced with half-inch bolts
Must have at least a 1 inch tall body spacer. No relocating body mounts.
*Tie rods, ball joints,steering racks, and steering boxes must remain stock no add metal or reinforcement.
*You're allowed to change A Arms but must mount in a factory manor No altering a arm mounts.
*You're allowed 2-2"x4" X 1/4in strap from A Arm to the frame must be rectangle with 90° sides or chain it.
*Window bars may be chained, #9 wire, or 2-3/8th x 4" strap welded six inches on the roof and 6 inches on the firewall. Window bar can’t be any wider than 30 inches. Window bars can go over 6 inches above windshield.
Cage
*You are allowed to run a four-point cage. No material bigger than 8 inch Must be 6 inches from the firewall. 5 inches in front of the rear seat body mount. You can run a halo bar which can be welded to top of the frame. You are allowed 2-2”x6” front down tubes. They can be welded to the top of the frame. The front of the tube can't go any farther forward than the inside door seam. You're also allowed 2 more 2”x6” down tubes on the side bar for a total of 6 down tubes counting halo.These must be at least a foot from the front down tubes
*You are allowed a gas tank protector. Must be one inch from sheet metal. No more than twenty-four inches wide. No part of the gas tank protector can extend past the rear seat sheet metal.
* No tying fire wall into front bar
Bumpers
*A loaded OEM car bumper may be used or an Impala replica bumper. A 6”x6”- 1/4in tube with no point may also be used. CHRYSLER POINTY REPLICAS are allowed 14 inch max on point
*you may have a home made bumper 14inch to the point over a 34 inch spread if you have questions ask
* rear bumper must be a factory OEM or a 2 x 6 by quarter.
*Frame may be shortened to the front body mount. Cadillacs have to measure 19 inches from the front of the arm forward No moving mounts from the factory position will be allowed. Bumper can be welded directly to the frame with a 6"x6" 1/4in bumper bracket. Any bumper shocks factory that fits the class can be ran, if running a bumper shock, you cannot use the 6" bumper bracket.
Drivetrain
*Slider driveshafts and pinion brakes are allowed.
*You can use a 5 or 8 lug axel. NO axel savers you may use a braced Rearend
*You are allowed to run reinforced rear trailing arms.
*Watts link conversions are allowed.
* They must bolt to package tray with 4-1/2” diameter bolts. No welding of the upper brackets to package tray.
* The upper brackets can be no thicker than 3/8” and must be at least 1in away from the frame rail.
* The upper trailing arms must angle off the factory mounting point on the rear end and mount to package tray in the factory mounting location of the car you are running 98-02 Fords mount the same way as a 97 and older Ford.
* Lower frame brackets may be ¼” X 3” X 3” box tubing 3” long welded to the side of the frame (not to the top or the bottom of the frame in any way) where the factory brackets are located.
* All unused brackets must be removed from the frame.
*No gussets may be used on these lower brackets.
*No rear leaf spring conversions.
*Leaf springs are allowed to be clamped with up to 4 clamps per side. Clamps no bigger than 2 inches wide.
**You're allowed any wheel and tires
Engine and Transmission
*Any engine may be used.
*Lower engine cradles ARE ALLOWED!!! They must be mounted with an OEM type of rubber motor mount.
*Transmissions must have a factory case, but you are allowed an aftermarket bell housing as long as it’s aluminum no steel bells
*Transmission cross member can be 2”x2” X 1/4in square tube welded to the inside of the frame. It cannot go through the frame. You can use 2-2"x2”X6" angle iron to mount the cross member! Cross member has to be attached to mount or u will cut it
*Tr**ny coolers are allowed to run. If you choose to run one, you must have well-made lines with secure fittings. FUEL LINE IS NOT OK!!
* you can chain down or use 2 1/2 bolts to hold transmission down.
Frame and Body
* swaybar must stay in factory location and can not be welded!
* body can’t be welded to the frame
*body washer 4x4 max!!! 1/2 body mounts bolt
*No frame seam welding or shaping will be allowed.
* your allowed 4 - 1/2 bolts in each finder
*Trunk lid may be welded solid with 4x1/8th inch strap. You may tuck the trunk lid or dish it down if dish must have a inspection hole.
* you can wrap a chain around the humps from frame to frame u get 3 wraps or can weld 3 links to each hump.
* you may cut speaker deck your choice
*You will be allowed 6-6"x6" X 3/16th inch repair plates on fresh cars. They must have a 1/2 gap between the welds. No overlapping or bumping plates into each other. No plates are to be through or inside the frame. 1/2in weld max on plates. You get a total of 6 plates that’s it!!!
*Repair rust with 1/8in plate on the frame must not exceed more than two inches past the rusted area. Do not cut the rust out over lap it we will scope it to make sure there is rust
*Body creasing is allowed.
*Restubbing a car is allowed but must be Ford to Ford or Chevy to Chevy or Caddy to Caddy. Must be restub at cross member
*You may cold bend the frame, but you cannot cut and reweld the frame seams. If your car is hot tilted you will not run!!!
*Frames will be scoped. Absolutely no metal is to be inside the frame. No hump plates are to be used. No painting is to be done on the frame if your frame is painted you will burn it off with a torch or load it!!!
