As of 7:10 pm a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 7:45 pm for northern Lincoln and Eastern Brookings Counties.

At 7:10 pm the thunderstorm was located near White or Brookings moving northeast at 50 mph.

Hazard includes 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

The thunderstorm will be hitting Hendricks around 7:25 pm and Ivanhoe around 7:30 pm.

If you are in the effected area take shelter now inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows.

There is also the wider Severe Thunderstorm Watch which remains in effect until 10 pm tonight for portions of southwestern Minnesota and eastern South Dakota.

25 years ago the tragic September 11th terrorist attack forever changed the fabric of our nation and claimed the innocent lives of 2,977 of our fellow Americans. Today we remember not only their sacrifice, but the strength of our American spirit that emerged out of unimaginable loss.

We remember the courage of the countless first responders who put their lives on the line.

We remember the ordinary Americans who showed immense bravery.

We remember those that fell long after the dust had settled.

Let us never forget their names, their stories, or the sacrifices they made.
