Hi friends…

I have gotten a bunch of messages from people who want to help me directly and I’d like to address that here. I didn’t lose anything in the flood. I came home to a dry studio and a dry apartment, both with power and water. People in Rollins and Marshall lost a lot… some lost everything. I have received a bunch of donations into my Venmo and have used that money to facilitate the cleanup and restoration of Marshall. That money has bought cotter pins for machines, Gatorade for the coolers, coffee and creamer to jump start the day for the operators and volunteers, medical gear, gas for the buggy, porta potties and storage building rentals for Rollins… a little bit of everything! I still need those donations to come in to put out the little fires that only a fistful of petty cash can cover but I don’t think I need this kind of money to be earmarked for me personally… It’s complicated to keep it separated and honestly I’m just going to spend it on recovery anyway… so I appreciate the personal donations but I’m considering it all disaster relief funds (except I bought some pants and underwear. Those are mine).

That being said I am worried about my financial future. I own a small music studio and barely make it as it is. I’m not sure how much recording people are going to be able to do or if I’d even have the heart to charge for recording sessions until this is all behind us… I’m sure I’ll be busy with this cleanup and restoration for months to come and perhaps it will become a paid position… I’m sure I won’t starve. However if you would like to support me individually please consider this…

I have a Patreon page. Patreon is like onlyfans for non-pervs and I’ve had it for a few years. Originally it was going to be used to record and showcase porch pickers that would probably never get into a studio to record but that took a back burner to making punk rock records and I never got after the Patreon thing. So if you would like to personally support me this would be a very sustainable way to do so… if you sign up you can buy me a cup of coffee every month… and better yet you can turn it off when this whole thing gets back to normal. If 5 billion of you sign up I can buy and shut down twitter. So that’s it… I’m not sure when my work life will go back to normal but I know that there are people out there who need a lot more than I do right now. My pledge to you is that if you do support me through Patreon I will never. ever post anything on there that isn’t for posted elsewhere for free… thank you for caring and thank you for helping Marshall!!

I want to personally thank Josh and the fella’s from North Shore Sealcoating/Asphalt. They drive down from Cleveland to help a bunch of strangers clean up this mess. Thank you. Safe travels.
