In Plymouth, a town of 134 square miles, is served by 140 firefighters operating out of 7 fire stations. According to Fire Chief Neil Foley, back in April 2020 Town Meeting voted to address 3 fire stations: West Plymouth Fire Station, Manomet Fire Station and the Bourne Road Fire Station. The West Plymouth project has been completed, and on Thursday, November 13th town officials celebrated the remodeling and renovation of the Manomet Fire Station.

Fire Chief Robert O’Brien says that at approximately 6:44 p.m. Wednesday crews responded to 1479 Main St. for a reported bedroom fire.

A sprinkler system helped put down a fire at a Hanson apartment complex on Main St. Wednesday night with no injuries reported.
