⛽️ A Piece of Route 66 History Preserved in Webster County:

After decades along the Niangua River Bridge, a historic Route 66 gas station has found a permanent home right here in Marshfield. This landmark, once a roadside stop for travelers along America’s Mother Road, now stands as a tribute to our county’s role in Route 66 history.

A "Top of the Ozarks" Route 66 sign will be placed at the site ahead of the centennial celebration this spring, offering visitors and tourists not just a glimpse of the past, but a reminder of the road that connected communities across the nation. With Route 66 celebrating 100 years in 2026, the station’s preservation is a proud moment for Webster County and an exciting addition to the growing list of stops along Missouri’s stretch of the famous highway.
