The National Weather Service says parts of the Ken-Tenn area could see strong thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.
Forecasters have placed parts of the area in a Level 1, or marginal risk zone, for late Thursday into early Friday morning.
Current forecasts indicate that not all areas could see severe weather with the passage of the front.
Currently the greatest potential for severe weather will be strong damaging winds, but the possibility of a tornado cannot be ruled out.
National Weather Service officials are continuing to monitor the situation, and will update conditions and forecasts as needed.

Commercial fishermen now have more incentive to catch and remove invasive carp from Kentucky waters.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has increased the commercial fishing payout from ten-cents to fifteen-cents per pound for invasive carp removal at Kentucky Lake and Barkley Lake.
Fish and Wildlife officials say the change was made to keep pressure on invasive populations of silver carp, bighead carp, black carp and grass carp, which threaten native fish and aquatic habitats.
In 2024, commercial fishermen harvested more than 15-million pounds of invasive carp through Kentucky’s Invasive Carp Harvest Program.
Since its beginning in 2013, more than 74-million pounds of the carp have been taken from the waters.
