Hey folks,this wasn't in the smoker but still cooking outside! I marinated some boneless thighs with Lanes Chili Lime rub for a couple hours ,heated up my little flattop on the gas grill with a little olive oil and let cook!Once chicken finished I put some asparagus on put a little char on it!Turned out to be a very tasty meal! I did smoke a little bone in turkey breast on Monday but no pics!What next,keep your fires lit folks! Papaw Greg

Hey folks,had a big cook this past weekend!Sheryl and I started prepping the meat and sides on Thursday.I trimmed 3 briskets and 5 pork butts and Sheryl prepped all ingredients for the beans,mac&cheese and pasta salad,whooee!Lit my smokers early Friday, put all 90lbs.of meat in the smoke as soon as they hit 250.Meats cooked all day and into the night.Saturday morning 4 pans of beans and 4 pans of mac went on the smokers,while inside the pasta salad was put together!Wow what a rush!Don't know for sure but bet there were some leftovers,no worries, plenty you can do with leftovers!Til next time ,keep your fires lit!Papaw Greg

Folks,I tried the butterflied drumsticks again,can't beatem for the price!Just slice down the bone and lay open the meat.I coated with Sucklebusters Texas Pecan and Lanes Legendary Chicken, cooked at 300 on the 1050 to 170 degrees and bam,chicken dinner!It's a keeper!Keep your fires lit folks! Hey everybody,just a little share today!Pictures of a double smoked ham,couple smoked cream cheeses and a pan of smoked beans I did for Easter to take out to my daughters.Next was a spread we did did in honor of my little brothers visit from out of state,hasn't been here in about 5 years!I did 2racks of babyback ribs,2 St Louis ribs,wings 3 ways,smoked beans and smoked mac & cheese!Plenty to eat plus leftovers and great times spent with family!Got more coming up folks, keep your fires lit,Papaw Greg

Hey folks,first pic is my mascot and tester,Gabe,my Great Grandson!He is checking out the porkloin I had just pulled of the smoker!I put a coating of B&B W sauce on it then sprinkled on some new KosmosQ Brown Sugar rub,popped it in at 235 and let rise to 140.made a great meal along with my smoked beans and sausage!Remaining pics are of a couple beef tritips and a couple of heavy duty pizzas I smoked recently.Now that spring has sprung I will be cooking more often I promise!Thank you all for watching my posts,I really appreciate you!Til next time,keep your fires lit!
