Hey friends! As I’m finishing up Drop the Façade, I’ve been reading some of my poems at local Open Mic Nights around Lexington, NC. Each time I get up on stage, I am nervous. One evening recently, I even thought to myself “This is silly, no one wants to hear poetry. I should just forget this whole mess.” I didn’t. I steeled myself against any possible negative feedback (spoiler alert: there was none!) and reminded myself that someone somewhere needs to hear what I have to say. I may not reach them today or tomorrow or next month but, one day, someone will hear something that resonates with them. It may even encourage them to drop their own façade and to share their struggles with someone else. Maybe their life will change for the better, as mine has. I am so incredibly thankful to everyone that has supported me on this journey - my family, friends, mentors, and local establishments that let me ramble on for a few minutes every now and then- thank you, thank you! Hello friends!

I have been hard at work the past few weeks getting things in place that are necessary to help grow Nichols Knows Books and I am so excited to share that with you now!

I’ll admit that I haven’t been as invested as I should have been this past year…I let life and all of its trials hold me back. That is a mistake that I do not intend to make again!

Two big pieces of news to share: first, I have designed a new website that is now LIVE!! I’ve transitioned to Showit, a platform that will allow me to create websites for other authors and companies much easier than the previous platform I was using. Second…well, you’ll have to read my new blog for that piece of news! Just know that I will be working VERY hard the next couple of years, all for the betterment of this company and those I serve!
