To all my wonderful dedicated Pom Peeps. I am so grateful and thankful for all the loving messages, encouragement, and support.
I am truly sorry I have not been able to post and update pics that brighten everyone’s day . Since my initial announcement my Husbands surgery was July 15th . Surgery was successful in removing his tumor and we are very grateful.
His journey has taken many turns and twists. After our family being thankful for his return home July 18 , it quickly took a turn for the worst and he was taken by ambulance Monday July 21 to our local hospital . I was informed after CT scan a small obstruction and they shared he is showing symptoms of Ileous( condition where the bowels are resting not working ) . Which would explain his decline . He experienced severe abdominal pain, stomach distended , vomiting and nausea and little to no output in his Illiostomy bag . After a full week stay at our local hospital with rounds of Iv fluids , NG tube and diet restriction he was finally released back home this Monday July 28, th . He was so thrilled to be able to return to the comfort of our home and family as well as having a proper meal .
Again our journey took another turn , this time only home for a 1.5 days . Tuesday afternoon he started having abdominal pain and progressively worsening. Little to no output through his bag Tuesday night and by the morning everything has stopped . His symptoms were worsening and early afternoon we were right back at the local hospital being admitted again . His surgeon was contacted and Wednesday late night he was transferred down to Suburban Hospital back in his surgeons care .
We are hoping to navigate all the ups, downs, fears and challenges. Hoping for things to calm and give him the chance to build his body strength to recover in hope for his body to start functioning properly. I kindly ask for patience and I know everyone is eager for updates. Doing my best and sending hugs to all my Pom Peeps . ❤️
