"The first part of Michael as a child, I could kind of buy that. But as soon as we go to the adult Jackson, played by his nephew Jaafar, that burst my bubble. I thought, heā€™s a great dancer, but his performance is very wooden, and one of the reasons for that is he didnā€™t have much of a script to work with. He becomes this waxwork who performs these jukebox songs, but thereā€™s zero insight into what makes Jackson tick. Heā€™s this asexual plastic action doll of a figure in the film. Seoul police have applied for a warrant to detain Bang Si-hyuk, chair and founder of Hybe, over alleged securities fraud tied to the K-pop conglomerateā€™s public listing, Reuters reported.

Bang established Hybe ā€“ then known as Big Hit Entertainment ā€“ in 2005, building it into the most powerful company in the K-pop industry. The Seoul-based group is home to BTS, Seventeen, Le Sserafim and Katseye, among others.
