💔🤦🏾 Reports circulating this afternoon claim that Anthony Joshua may have retired from boxing, following the tragic car accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of his close friends.

According to several international media outlets, family sources including an uncle have suggested that Joshua told relatives he intends to step away from boxing, emotionally shaken by the incident and the loss of people close to him. 😔

Anthony Joshua has NOT made any official retirement announcement himself neither has his management team and promoter confirmed any retirement

Looking back, it’s painful to realize that the same stubborn and disrespectful coach who struggled week after week is the one who failed to take Cameroon to the World Cup. The signs were there. We ignored them. 😩

Yes, Cameroon qualified for AFCON but let’s be honest about the journey. Performances were often unconvincing, tactical choices questionable, and player management chaotic. We survived games instead of dominating them. Wins felt forced, not convincing.

World Cup qualification was there for the taking, but all Marc could do was argue with FECAFOOT president 🤦🏾

I don’t think this matter should be left like this. What can we do to this man ? 😒

💔 Tragedy hits Burkina Faso’s Stephane Aziz Ki during AFCON 2025

Burkina Faso international Stéphane Aziz Ki has been struck by a heartbreaking personal loss amid the AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) 2025, currently taking place in Morocco. Wydad Athletic Club, the Moroccan club he plays for, announced that his son has died, offering “deepest condolences and sympathy” to Ki and his family in an official statement. 

The club’s message prayed for mercy on the young child’s soul and strength for the family as they cope with this devastating moment.

🇬🇦🙌🏾 Crazy scenes coming out of Gabon following their early exit at AFCON 2025.

According to multiple reports, the Gabonese government has taken very drastic decisions after what it described as “shameful and unacceptable performances” at the tournament:

❌ Entire technical crew dissolved
⏸️ National team activities suspended until further notice
🚫 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bruno Ecuele Manga reportedly dropped permanently from the national team

The authorities have also instructed the Gabonese Football Federation to take full responsibility for the failure, marking one of the most political interventions seen in African football in recent years.

This move has already sparked debate, with many warning it could lead to serious issues with FIFA, which strictly opposes government interference in football matters.

From leading 2–0 in their final group game to crashing out with zero points… and now this.
