So… I retired. And then I did the most "me" thing possible: I went all-in on the shop.📣
📚After years in the ELA classroom, I hung up my lanyard - but I wasn't ready to hang up the creativity teaching requires. Building units, lesson plans, activities, stations, and slide decks that make a teacher's week a little easier? That's the work that still lights me up. And now, in retirement, I finally have the time to do it the way I always wanted.🍎
Here's what I keep coming back to: supporting a small business doesn't have to cost you a single dollar. A share. A like. A quick comment. Tagging a colleague who "NEEDS this." Posting a pic of a resource in action. Leaving a review. Those tiny gestures are everything to a small creator, and they cost nothing but a moment of your day.👍
So to everyone who has cheered me on through the classroom years and into this new chapter - thank you. 🩵 You're the reason MsNelsonIsNotMissing isn't slowing down. It's just getting started.
And of course, Jersey🐈⬛ - my resident Quality Assurance Officer and the world's most opinionated gray cat - has personally reviewed this post and given it her official paw of approval.🐾 She's also delighted to report that retirement means significantly more lap availability.
Here's to the next chapter, friends. 🥂
